Nail Art with Nicole!
I LOVE getting my nails done.
This past spring I achieved a goal I had been working towards for quite some time. As a reward, I decided that I would treat myself to manicures and pedicures every month. I deserved it, after all! The problem was that my monthly trip to the salon quickly turned into a bi-weekly trip; and then a weekly trip. At approximately $40 a visit, it was adding up fast. And of course, I HAD to get the nail art. So that was tacking on another 5 bucks with every visit. After a few months of spending more on my nails than my household groceries (Don’t tell my mom!), I gave my head a serious shake. What was stopping me from doing this myself?!!? I’ve always liked to think of myself as creative, so I decided to give it a try.
I picked up L.A. Colors Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer in “Black”, “Ice Breaker” & “Glitter”. Armed with just three colours I was able to create everything from simple to intricate designs on my nails. And I’ll tell you what – they looked top notch, if I do say so myself. I was able to build my own mani/pedi kit(which will last me MONTHS, I might add) for less than the cost of one trip to the nail salon.
I’ve personally taken to doing my nails on Sunday nights as a way to relax before jumping into the busy week ahead. Every nail is its own masterpiece. I really enjoy the simple things like choosing a colour. I’m often inspired by a favourite outfit, an upcoming holiday and the great outdoors. The possibilities are endless and sometimes it’s tough to decide on one design. The best part is – you can change your nails at home as many times as you’d like without breaking the bank!

Sunburn Treatment
