My first week with Well.ca
This has been my first (half) week at Well.ca as the Community Director and I definitely have more than enough anecdotes to get me through this weekend’s socializing. Here are a few of the highlights:
- Meeting with a top PR team from Toronto within the first 3 hours of stepping foot in the office
- Going for lunch with said PR team at Capistrano (on my recommendation – good call on my part, I have to say, the service was really fast even if the server did accidentally drop my sandwich on my chair)
- Playing xbox with my coworkers
- Enjoying a delicious apple crumble that Chris pulled out of the oven just moments after I walked into work
- Amazing my coworkers with my hot and sour soup-eating abilities (I think Ali’s still recovering from the shock)
- Falling flat on my butt in front of Ali and Chris when the stool I was sitting on inexplicably fell apart (the culprit is pictured, left). I now have a bruise on my thigh and broke two nails, but beyond that I’m just fine.
- Watching Superbad with Ali after work on my second day
- Talking to super friendly customers
- Checking out our shipping facilities
- Meeting two well known local CEOs
- Showing off our amazing loft/office (loftice? I’m just going to call it the loftice from now on) to my friends, who are understandably quite jealous of me
- Making pizza with my coworkers
- Discovering a fantastic new vintage store down the street (technically this was during my lunch break) and buying the perfect gift for a gift exchange I’m doing with friends this weekend
I can’t even begin to guess what next week will bring, but I have a feeling I won’t be bored and I’ll be having a lot of (productive) fun!
By the way, did I mention that we’re hiring?

I stood and watched as Alex ate two big bowls of hot and sour soup in front of me. It was frightening and amazing at the same time. I have a lot of respect for anyone that can eat that much soup in one sitting.
I can’t even begin to list of the crazy, wonderfulness that has happened since I started here, otherwise I’d be here all day. Just to warn you, there’s never a dull moment here and I’m sure you’ll have tons more to blog about as the weeks go on. By the way, it’s great having you as a member of the Well.ca family!!
