Keeping a house in sparkling condition can be a daunting task, especially this time of year. A hectic schedule coupled with kids or pets tracking through snowy and salty messes can really start to feel like a losing battle.

There are a myriad of cleaning products available for every possible need you could have.  Unfortunately, most products on the market have harsh chemical-based ingredients that can be harmful to your home environment and air quality.

There is an ever-growing breadth of natural household cleaners available that are made right here in Canada.   I decided to feature a few Green & Natural brands that you may want to know more a little more about.

Attitude is a fabulous line of Canadian cleaning products.  Attitude products are formulated with renewable and plant-based ingredients that have proven to be very effective in my home.  The packaging is innovative and eco-conscious.  The product range includes fabric care, dish care, surface cleansers and air purifiers.

Earth Matters is another amazing product line which are derived from natural plant-sourced ingredients.  They are hypoallergenic, non-toxic and free from animal ingredients, enzymes, dyes, optical brighteners, SLS, APEO, DEA, phosphates and other harsh chemicals.  In addition to offering environmentally conscious products, Earth Matters happens to be a socially responsible company.  They donate 1% of all of their sales to charity each year.

Nature Clean products have been around since 1963 and they use simple and natural formulations that are environmentally responsible, hypoallergenic, biodegradable and non-toxic.   Nature Clean boasts that all the products are “Made by really nice Canadians”.  They offer an extensive line of products, just a few of them include a pet stain remover, furniture polish, tile cleaner, drain cleaner .

It’s important to become aware of what we bring into our homes. In an attempt to keep things clean and germ-free we could actually be causing more harm then good if we choose the wrong products.  Reaching for natural products and reading the ingredients is a great first step. Research the companies who offer these brands so you can feel really confident about the choices you make.
