Made in Canada: Part 3
In the spirit of celebrating Canada’s birthday this July, we’ve decided to put together another edition of “Made in Canada”! It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the different products available on the market today. For me, once I’ve found a product that works, I tend to stop trying new brands or products. I guess I’m not much of a risk taker! Recently, though, I’ve been thinking about small ways to be more green and trying to buy more locally. Well.ca has a lot of great Canadian brands that make natural and/or organic products – here are a couple of my recent discoveries!
Kalaya Naturals recently caught my attention when I noticed that their head office is located right in my hometown of Waterloo! Little did I know that natural therapeutic skin and body products were this close to me! Kalaya Naturals products are medically directed – they blend science with nature to deliver results. Their products have treated tens of thousands of Canadians over the past 15 years for conditions like eczema, topical pain relief concerning back pain, arthritis pain and overall-joint and muscle pain.
Druide was founded in southern Quebec over 30 years ago. Inspired by herbalists, Druide products are a healthy and ecological alternative to conventional body-care products. Since their products contain no coloring agents, chemical preservatives, perfumes or any petroleum derived ingredients, you won’t have to worry about what the names on the back of the package actually stand for!
Who doesn’t love to spoil themselves every once in a while? Bring the spa home to you with Urban Spa. This Canadian company offers a slew of products to pamper yourself with right at home. From things like bath pillows to exfoliating gloves, Urban Spa makes a great treat for yourself or as a gift.
With so many great options available, trading up for natural products no longer means having to give up the luxuries you’re used to.
