On Vacation!
Okay, so maybe I am a bit late. But while the rest of the world was planning camping trips and beach vacations, I was gleefully awaiting an early autumn escape, when I would finally be able to explore the cultural minefield that is Nova Scotia.

I mean minefield in only the kindest of ways. It seems like every brochure and web site I see features a fiddler, dancer, or piper, as well as some scrumptious seafood for me to drool over. And although I am not your typical sightseer (I am actually excited to be there during hurricane season), a part of me longs to celebrate our country’s early history by exploring the coast where it all began!
Sigh . . . when will this week be over? I can’t wait to get on the road!
But wait—there may be a way for me get through it. After all, I will need to pack some supplies. Yay! It’s list making time!
- I won’t be staying in a luxurious hotel every night, so I think I will bring along some dry shampoo and wipes to help me get by without a shower.
- We’ll probably go hiking on the Cabot Trail, so I will want to protect my precious skin with something with a high SPF while exploring the sights.
- And while I’m at it, I guess I should throw in some bug spray, just in case!
- Since my camera recently went kaput, I might need to throw in one of those– or at least a disposable.
- Oooh, goody! Travelling is always a great excuse to buy some mini things! For me, and for my man.
And now, I am truly ready. Great, only 4 more hours
to go . . .
