The Buzz on West Nile
This week, West Nile Virus was detected in some Kitchener, Ontario area mosquitoes, for the first time in over four years. Human cases were detected in both B.C. and Saskatchewan this year, making West Nile a cause for concern across Canada. It’s better to be safe than sorry: in any province, if you are planning to head outside and enjoy the fall weather or jump in a pile of leaves, here’s how you can “Fight the Bite,” courtesy of Waterloo Region Public Health.
