We purchased these plates for our school to make our school events more ecofriendly. We have been using them for about 8 events for 50-400 people during the last year and are very happy with the Preserve plates. They are light weight, bpa free and recyclable (if they break). So far not a single Preserve plate or cup has broken. We take great care to wash them gently in the dishwasher without a hot wash or dry cycle. We air dry them by spreading them out on a table cloth. I am in the Green Team of our school and I am very pleased that our events are now garbage free with only a small pile of recyclables (due to the fact that you can't use the cups for hot drinks).
