SWEET GALE (Myrica Gale)
INGREDIENT TRADITIONAL USES
Leaves are used traditionally as a light flavourful green tea, and its seed nutlets as sage or bay like cooking spice. Sweet Gale leaves were dried to perfume linen and make candles because of its beautiful fragrance. Also used to allay thirst.
Astringent, diuretic, and emetic properties have been scientifically recognized.
I did not feel that this product helped me remember my dreams at all. I have tried drinking it on more than one occasion and I was not satisfied with the results at all. It did not do what it said it would do for me.
My roommate and I tried drinking this tea every night for a while, because we read that the effect of it is cumulative (increases with regular use). After a couple weeks we both had to stop because our dreams were so intense. It also is very calming and sleep inducing, even on the first use. We never reached actual lucid dreaming, but it definitely had an effect on us both.
Did not get any affect or more intense dreams from these....and I dream all the time!
I used to be an avid lucid dreamer and have since stopped. I was hoping this would help even with dream recall, and didn't. While dissapointed by this, it is a very nice tea. Luckily I'm a tea fan and it's one of the few teas I can drink without adding sweetner or milk.
great taste, no need for sugar. I don't dream very often but I do remember my dreams in the morning when I drink this before bed. I gave it 4 stars as I was expecting larger leaf, not powder for the price
great experience for me trying sweet gale for the first time, love this tee
Taste was nice (even without any sweetening) though I had to steep it for quite a while before I got it strong enough. I suppose I was expecting a little higher quality with all the information about it being hand picked and so forth. The herb in the bag is pulverized dust. For someone who is used to loose leaf tea, this isn't appealing and a lot of the flavour is lost (which explains why I had to steep for so long). For me, it is not worth the price, though I will be seeking other sources of Canadian sweet gale in a less processed form.
