The full spectrum of herbs in this blend traditionally served to cleanse and strengthen the body in a balanced way.
- SWEETFERN (Comptonia Peregrina)- used by natives and settlers as a general tonic tea. Stronger decoctions made with Sweetfern have been used for rheumatism, internal bleeding, leucorrhea, dysentery and topical astringent. Folk use as cancer remedy.
- RED CLOVER- flowers used traditionally as blood purifier, expectorant, sedative, asthma, bronchitis, coughs, cancer.
- RED RASPBERRY- leaves used traditionally as nourishing blood tonic and for back and stomach pains, diarrhea, dysentery, inflamed throat,menstruation cramps, stimulates and relaxes uterus.
- YELLOW DOCK (Rumex Crispus)- roots used traditionally for blood purifier, skin ailments, rheumatism, lymph glands, liver, sore throats.
- ECHINACEA - used traditionally as immune tonic, aches, flu, colds, sore throat.
- DANDELION - roots have been used traditionally for problems of the liver, gall bladder, kidney and bladder. Also used for constipation and weak digestion.
- BURDOCK - roots have traditionally been used for a blood purifier, liver and kidney ailments, rheumatism, gonorrhea and cancer.

This is my new favourite tea. It has a really nice herbal flavour (I don't find it tastes like black tea as the description states) and is soothing and nourishing. I just feel generally better after drinking it every day. I will definitely buy it again and will try other kinds of Algonquin teas. They seem to be made with quality ingredients and well thought out formulations.

I used to drink this every day in my office. I like that is has no caffeine and it has a delicious flavour. No sugar needed. Also good iced.

This tea helped to heal my daughter who had chronic hives, she was suffering so much and one day i just said to try the tea as it hels your immune system which is what hives is, so she started drinking it every day and within a few days her hives started to diminish, so she has recommended it to others and they are happy too.

This is a great tasting tea, and for me it has made my knees pain free from severe arthritis!!! It has been working now for six weeks. I have tried numerous over the counter pills and prescriptions, and this is the only thing that has worked. It was a surprise to me.

Hard to tell what this does if anything - no noticeable effects after having gone through a full box of this... Definitively NOT a replacement for coffee...
Tastes like any herbal tea - various grasses... plus I taste mint, even though it's not in the ingredients (go figure)...

I love this tea! I have been drinking it now for the past three months. The flavor is not too strong and enjoyable and find I do not need to add any sweetener.

I love this tea, the flavour is simply beautiful and it makes you feel really good when you drink it.
It is good hot and cold, and doesn't need any sweeteners or milk. I will buy it again and again and am looking forward to trying other Algonquin teas.

I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable this mild herbal tea was. It's soothing, light and is great tasting that seems slightly sweet though it contains no sweeteners. There are no overpowering herbal flavours in this tea, they all blend nicely together. It can be enjoyed anytime of the day and is especially nice with a dash of soy milk (or any type of creamer) before bed while curling up to read or watching tv. I will definately buy it again...wish it were sold in bulk size.
P.S....Will be trying it out as an iced tea this summer!
