The color matched my skin well, but that's about it. It didn't control shine for me any more than a regular powder would (which is barely at all), and I didn't really notice a difference as far as the "clarifying" aspect goes. I also found that after a while, it got hard and wasn't being easily picked up by a face brush anymore. However, my skin is pretty oily, and nothing I've found so far that says "matte" or "oil control" helps me, so you never know, it may work for someone with less of an oil problem than I have :) Also, something to note is that the instructions say not to have used a medicated cleanser before using this product because it's also considered a medicated product.
