These scissors are fantastic. I use them all the time in my kitchen and for cutting through plastic (for example tags attached to new clothes). I wash them a lot and they haven't rusted or deteriorated. I guess being autoclavable makes them resilient. I like these so much that I've ordered two additional pairs - one for my basement and one for my garden (good for twine, small plants and twigs, etc.) I've used other kitchen shears and utility scissors, but none as good as these.
