As one of the many people allergic to some of the chemicals in regular store bought sunscreens, I am forced to read between the lines on product listings. I also prefer to use no higher than a 15 while on vacation. Canada has not the selection the US has for these chemical free sunscreens, so I did a lot of research. I tried Badger - HATED it! Then I gave Aubrey a shot. LOVE it! I have no issues with the chemicals, have come back from vacation with the nicest tan ever - and did not have to burn first to get it! It stays on top of the skin, but is not as flaky or showy as other products, because it is skin-toned, it blends in nicely. My husbands complaint is that it feels like putting white glue on someone. But the nice tan, lack of hives and the complaints, certainly out-weigh the texture!
I really wanted to love this product. On top of the mostly chemical free ingredients, the scent was wonderful and coming out of the tube, the consistently and texture felt OK. As soon as I started rubbing on my skin, it took on a sticky texture which made it difficult for even application. I didn't realized how uneven, until coming in from being out in the sun and I had splotchy burn marks where it didn't rub in properly. It also left my skin so sticky, that after a windy day at the beach, my entire body was covered with a layer of sand. Sorry Aubrey's - high hopes but totally dashed. :-(
