For clean, beautiful skin! This acne medication contains micronized benzoyl peroxide. The water-based formula goes to work immediately, releasing the medicine deep into the pores where pimples begin.
Directions: Adults and children 12 years and older: Cleanse skin thoroughly before applying product. For New Users: Apply product to a small area once a day for three days to test if you are sensitive to this product. If no discomfort occurs, cover the entire affected area with a thin layer. Start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily, if needed. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
Active ingredient (w/w): (p/p) Benzoyl peroxide / Peroxyde de benzoyle 5 %
Inactive ingredients: Benzyl Alcohol, Carbomer Homopolymer type B,
Disodium EDTA, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Laureth-4, Sodium Hydroxide, Water (eau).
Caution: For external use only.

I guess its an ok product
I have been getting forehead acne for a while now and it just started to effect my cheeks. I was so excited to try this product because of all the reviews, however I was disappointed. I applied it every night for about a week. I noticed a slight difference in one of my bigger pimples but that was about it. It leaves behind a white residue on your face and drys it out SO MUCH. I think it was because of the BP but my face was continually peeling and no amount of makeup could cover it up. I was so embarrassed to leave the house, since nothing could cover it up. I couldn't do anything even washing my face burned and it became so irritated and red. My friends thought i was wearing blush but it was just the redness showing through my makeup. I did use other clean and clear products along with this product (since i used it as a spot treatment) but I have used those products before and they worked great, just not with this. I was extremely disappointed

Workst Great!
Only disadvantage is it drys out your skin while it cleans up the pimples but I think it is a fair trade off!!!

I now have hives all over my face.
I got this product a week ago because of all the positive reviews and tried it. It said to do a patch test for 3 days therefore I did that and my skin reacted in a way such that it is considered "normal" symptoms. Redness, peeling, dryness. Therefore, after the 3 day mark I thought I was good to go for the rest of my face since the patch test was successful. Fast forward I now have hives all over my face and my skin is itching so badly I want to crawl out of my skin. BE VERY CAREFUL OF THIS PRODUCT. I am now in a lot of pain and was prescribed medicine by my doctor. Very disappointed I wasted money.

BE CAREFUL
I assumed because this was an over-the-counter treatment, it would be safe to use without too much research.
I'd used it for a few days previous. I applied it more liberally one night before moisturizing, and I woke up with awful chemical burns. I spent the whole day applying aloe vera and moisturizer, and it's still quite irritated ~12 hours later. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
I can't say to the quality of it's acne fighting properties. But please be careful and spot check for a long time before going gung ho on it. I can't recommend it as a drug store product, as it's so easy to make severe mistakes with it. BP should only be used under the guidance and recommendation of a doctor.

Very effective product
This product has always been my go to for any kind of acne breakouts. My skin has reacted very well to this product. This product does not sting or stain my clothes or pillows cases like other benzyol treatments cause. I apply this product on clean skin and then seal it up with cerave moisturizer. I make sure I don't apply any kind of treatment or serums when using this active. After I apply this product in the night,
I have also noticed the next day my acne is dried or swelling has significantly reduced. Love this product and will continue to use it for all of my acne breakouts.

Works Wonderfully
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I recently had the opportunity to try the Clean & Clear Persa Gel 5 and I was so impressed. My skin is notorious for breakouts and I really felt that the application of this product helped to reduce those instances while I've been using it. This is not to say you won't still get a breakout but I found that as soon as I noticed a breakout starting and applied this product, it drastically reduced the intensity of the breakout I experienced and the amount of redness and fluid went down as well. Its a great early intervention treatment! Whenever you notice a breakout starting; use some of this product to get ahead of the game and reduce your breakout results!

It is like a pimple MAGIC ERASER
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 5 is pretty powerful. I only had to use it once, and the pimple disappeared. I didn't have any reaction to the gel. Every month I get a few deep pimples, tender to the touch and they never seem to surface. I pick at them at pretty much make my face a disaster until the pimple disappears. But I really like how my monthly acne disappeared within the day and didn't last 2 or 3 days like they usually do. So this is perfect for those monthly acne issues, without the monthly acne issues.

It helped a little bit
I've been using this product for about 2 months now and I feel like it dose work but it leaves my skin very dry. I do sometimes put it on in the morning but since the creme itself is white then it make the dry areas around my skin white and it stays like that until I wash my face again. It isn't the best creme I've used and definitely not the fastest one. Before this creme I used clean and clear's 4hr advantage acne spot treatment I seem to always get good results with that one and it wouldn't dry my skin but I switched to this one to see if it would work better.

I've suffered with acne since as long as I've been old enough to have it (nearly 28yr F now). While my skin still isn't perfect and tends to have minor breakouts if I go a couple days without using, this product has been a real life saver. Add in a mild topical retinol and it's basically as good as a prescription medication, except with less irritation (I added the retinol a couple weeks after to give my skin time to adjust). The bottle size is perfect given how fast these products expire once opened. I'm finally starting to feel more confident without makeup!

LOVE this product
Noticeable difference within a day. Surfaced and cleared even the most stubborn white heads. Honestly, I've tried so many treatments as a teen, and I don't think I've used something so effective before. As an adult my acne recently flared up, and I found myself reaching for this - great I did!!
Also, for anyone saying this product dried their skin, you have to remember that this is a side effect of benzoyl peroxide, and that it's important to moisturize 5-15 minutes after application!

Effective, great size !
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) One of the things that bothers me about acne gels is that they come in tiny packaging. This Persa gel comes in a great size and lasts long. It contains Benzoyl Peroxide that doctors recommend for acne - so it is really effective. This was easy to apply and did not have a scent. Usually acne medications with Benzoyl Peroxide can have strong chemical smell but this didn't and I appreciate that. Overall I would recommend but use this with a moisturizer and sunblock for best results !

Good -bye acne!

Now wearing a mask at the hospital for work 8 hours a day with no end in sight and sometimes 16 hours a day I have developed constant Mascne. This is a word we coined at work meaning acne caused from wearing a mask. The sweat and oils buildup and no breathing for the skin. So me and my two growing teens were very thankful for this product. Its a product our whole family can use! And it works great!!

okay so im a teenager and all my life my face has been clear. When I hit 7th grade, my skim started breaking out. I never really thought anything of it until a year later which was a couple months ago. My acne is bright red dota across my cheeks and my foreHead. I tried to use acv but it only worked a little bit. So I went to my local drug store and was told The persa gel would help. In a week I saw a difference. The thing is my acne is so bad and ends up coming back. And the persa gel barely worksnow

Starts Working Faster than Department Store Treatments!
I've gone through Clinique®, Proactiv®, Murad®, etc. and I can say that this is the best benzoyl peroxide treatment ever! Just in 48 hours, my severe acne (Cysts, papules, pustules, whiteheads + blackheads) were reduced and within 3 days it was all one. In conjunction, I used the Continuous Control® Acne cleanser and the Advantage Control® Moisturizer which all helped and is a great regimen. They're all also very cheap to buy too compared to the department store prices. These saved my skin!

Breakouts are History!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have had a few pimple breakouts lately due to constant stress, and was really happy that I had this product handy. After cleaning your face, you apply this cream and it actually worked to dry out the breakouts. The most incredible thing about this product, is that it's fast acting. Your breakouts are history! This did not irritate my sensitive skin at all and there was no redness left from the product on my face.

I love this product so much!!
This product has really helped me to keep my acne at bay, I definitely recommend this product!! But if you have more severe acne I think going to your doctor and having them Prescribe a higher dosage of benzoyl peroxide would really help. I am very sensitive to benzoyl peroxide but I learned over time that a little does go a long way and that if you apply it in small dosage it does help over time. But this product works like a charm, in 2 days my pimple was gone.

Fantastic!
I picked up this product because the store was out of the one I normally buy and was taken back by how well this one worked!! I saw a difference within a few hours and my skin is starting to look so much better now! It dries out my skin a bit and makes it burn a little but the fact that I see a significant difference in the appearance of my acne, totally cancels out the couple negative side effects. I love this product and am so happy I stumbled across it!

Terrible experience.
I have used Clean and Clear products in the past and all have left a reasonable impression. However, this one really disappointed me. It made my skin SUPER itchy and even though it didn't look like it, my skin felt extremely dry. It became so uncomfortable that I had to wash it off and put on so much moisturizer. It also broke me out and made my skin texture worse (more little bumps). I'm unhappy with this product since I have always trusted this brand.

i love this product but I have a question for anyone that knows, how long should I apply this product for? An hour? 30 min? Also, can I use CLEAN & CLEAR® INVISIBLE BLEMISH TREATMENT after i use this product? I have tried, and it seems to burn a little, nothing significant though.

No more breakouts or pimples

It goes deep into the skin and starts working the minute you apply it to your pimple or breakout. I love this product since using no more breakouts or pimple have appeared in that same spot. Works for my 15 yr old
I bought this for my daughter recently, who developed acne when she turned 14….. she uses this in conjunction with The Ordinary Salicylic Acid and finds that between the two, the persa-gel clears her acne quickly and the salicylic acid helps to limit its reappearance. When any acne does reappear, the persa-gel clears it up quickly. It doesn’t dry out her skin, which is very sensitive, and she’s had no reaction to either ….

This product works great and fast!
My daughter started having problems with acne and we have tried several products. I even bought her Proactiv and that didn't help one bit. This product she tried and was very happy with it. I still get the odd pimple myself at times and find this product really does a great job for me too! I can notice a difference in a day which is great when you want acne to go away fast.My daughter will only use this product now.

Effective pimple relief

I apply this cream immediately after washing my face and it dries up on the face without leaving any residue. It does its job quickly that you can see results in 1-2 days. Pimple becomes less red and swelling is visibly less. It didnt irritate my face and its good for combination skin. Recommended!

Love this product!
I started to get hormonal acne around my jawline, that was quite bad. I picked this up at the store having not even heard of it before and thought I’d just give it a shot. I’m thrilled that I did, I can’t believe how within a couple days, it got rid of all the acne. I didn’t have any bad reaction at all, and I’m so thankful I gave it a shot!

It was a nice cream!
