THE best lotion I have ever tried, and I've tried lots! I have very bad hands that do not stay moisturized for any longer than 30 minutes when using commercial, or prescribed lotions/creams. I put this on twice a day and that's it! My skin stays is soft and moist. Best of all, its chemical free. Sure its runny, IT IS FULL OF MOISTURE, sure it has oils, if you have dry skin your body needs the oils. I find this lotion not greasy at all compared to the plethora of others that I have tried. I will be stocking up on these lotions.
Thank you Dr. Bronner, and Well.ca!
Wonderful , high quality product , smell is fabulous and lotion is easy to appy .
I find the lotion to be very oily . . . . I don't see it being absorbed, sits on top of the skin??? I use Dr. Bronner's Liquid Castille soap and really like it, I cut it in half with water. I have not yet tried the bars of soap that I purchased.
Even though it is super healthy for you and is rated very highly I don't really like it. The smells throws me off and it is a bit greasy...
This is my first time using a Dr. Bronner's product. I have only been using the lotion for a couple of weeks so I haven't noticed any improvement in the dryness of my skin. The lotion is a bit thinner (runnier) than others I have tried but this isn't a negative -- just something to get used to. I usually avoid fragranced items due to the adverse effects they have on people (myself included) but this lotion has a just a hint of a fragrance which is nice.
The lotion as a sticky texture when you first apply, but after rubbing it in it feels like any other lotion. It is a tad oily but it does absorb after a few minutes. The smell is subtle which is nice, and there is a subtly alcohol smell when you first put it on, but that only last maybe a minute. My skin looks great after using this, and it's nice to have more natural ingredients.
Lotion itself is great, but the smell is not the best. Not what I was expecting at least, considering how wonderful Dr. Bronner's usually smells.
This lotion absorbs quickly and is non-greasy. It starts out a bit sticky, but once it's blended in, it is fine. My one issue with it is the smell. The lavender is great (I don't really notice the coconut) but for some reason it smells very alcohol-y when I first squirt it. It is likely due to the organic grain alcohol (ethanol) that is used as a preservative, which I think is a great alternative to many of the cancer-causing preservatives, so it's a bit of a trade-off. The alcohol-y smell does dissipate after I've blended it in, so it's not long-lasting. It just almost knocks you over at first. Overall I would recommend this product to others, but just warn about the extra smell.
