When I opened this and smelled it I was instantly brought back to my child hood when all of us little girls had a large bubblegum Lipsmackers! The smell is great but I expected it to lather up a lot, more like a pink foam. If you are buying this just for the scrunching funky hairdo feature then, I would say its not that different from the other shampoos we have. My daughter is too young to play with her hair in the bath so it doesn't bother me. She does like the picture on the bottle a lot.
