Green Beaver's natural toothpastes are made with plants & minerals. Unlike toothpaste with fluoride, children under the age of 6 years of age can safely swallow this natural toothpastes (including toddlers). Furthermore, Green Beaver's toothpastes are made with real flavours without any chemically engineered synthetic flavours (or dyes), making it better for you and the environment! The toothpastes contain natural antibacterial agents such as Xylitol, lemon and tea tree extracts. Xylitol occurs naturally in fruits and vegetables, including berries, apples, and plums. According to Health Canada, "studies have indicated that xylitol in particular may actually help to prevent tooth decay".
It also contains natural mineral whiteners such as Silica and calcium carbonate, natural breath fresheners like aromatic and refreshing herbs. They also add Calcium ascorbate, which contributes to the normal development and maintenance of teeth and gums. Available in five natural flavours from Mother Nature’s garden: Frosty Mint, Star Anise, Zesty Orange, Green Apple, and Cilantro Mint.

I have searched for a long time to find a toothpaste that doesn't have a long list of ingredients like whiteners, desensitizers, fluoride etc. I believe flossing and brushing are enough to keep your mouth healthy and I still have all my teeth at age 74!
I used to use other pastes until they added so much stuff and made the flavoring so sharp it burns the soft tissue!
I like the flavor and the fact that I can use the brush longer without the foam filling up my mouth!

It may take the kids a while to get used to the non foaming aspect of this toothpaste, but they do love the taste. It is a bit softer than conventional paste and comes out quickly - takes time to get used to not squeezing the tube to hard. All 3 kids love it - so do I!

My younger kids love this one so I buy it for them. Personally I don't care for it as it is too sweet for my liking & does not leave my teeth feeling really clean. But it obviously works since my kids have been using it for a couple years & they haven't had any cavities.

I bought this toothpaste for my kids, and it's now my favourite too. The apple taste is subtle and not at all sweet, still leaves my mouth feeling fresh and clean. My kids won't use anything else.

Really cleaned my teeth without an overwhelming taste. I hate regular mint toothpastes and even child toothpaste is too sweet and sugary. This did the trick and I love that it is vegan and Canadian.

All my four children LOVE this toothpaste. The flavor is just right and my kids brush their teeth regularly without protests now. My son has many food and additive allergies (he cannot use commercial brands like Colgate) and this green beaver toothpaste is safe for him! So happy we can buy this from well.ca!

It is difficult to find toothpaste that does not contain artificial colours and flavours. Add to that an aversion of mint due to reactions to the artificial mint flavourings, and very few companies make a suitable product or retailers sell them. I was very relieved to find this product available. Unfortunately it doesn't taste much like apples, and has a rather bitter aftertaste. Not too bad in a toothpaste, but I do wish someone would sell Jason Brand Apricot flavour.

Great first tooth paste for kids, as it's safe if they swallow it. Cleans well and is not strong and minty, no complaints of "burning". I've been using in on my almost 4 year old for about 3 years. She won't use anything else!

Dentist suggested that we try a natural toothpaste because DD was having a reaction around her mouth. After a lot of research, I found this one didn't have any SLS that could have been causing her reaction! She loves it!!

Great tooth paste for kids, it cleans well, freshen breath somewhat, and you don't have to worry about them swallowing fluoride. It's not minty, which I've found kids don't like because it burns the mouth.

Seems like you need a lot of paste to cover all the teeth. The taste is very mild, and I don't get a fresh mouth feel after using it. It does however have all natural ingredients which I like.

My 15 month old daugther loves this toothpaste, and this certainly helps mommy to brush her teeth! I tried it and not too fond of the taste, I'm used to peppermint toothpaste. Gagged a little, but I'm happy that its all natural for the little one. Fluoride free, but heard from the dentist that this is actually good for the health of their little teeth, so may try a toothpaste with fluoride next time.

The taste is mild, which my 3 yr old prefers. She doesn't like kiddie toothpaste at all and wants to spit it out right away. Brushing her teeth with Green Apple was the first time she wasn't fussing or crying. I love the ingredients and that it is SLS-free! Thank you for a fabulous product.

I normally use the Tom`s of Maine fluoride-free toothpaste, but thought I would try something different. I don`t mind the flavour but didn`t care for the glycerin after taste it left in my mouth. I love waking up without the morning breath I get from traditional toothpaste but think I`ll stick to mint flavours in the future.

I was looking for a toothpaste that is natural and organic, I came across this product and ordered this because its for kids it must be mild,I was not dissappionted its a good toothpaste even adult can use this too its not too sweet,the taste is not strong which I LIKE,but it clean my teeth effectively. The green apple taste wasn't as strong as I was anticipating (I was a bit disappointed!) but it cleaned my teeth effectively and I wasn't busy worrying about the 186 chemicals that were foaming up in my mouth like I do with commercial brands! Will try the orange or mint next time though.

I've been using for about a week, and I have no complaints. Everyone seems to be using this for kids, but I'm using it for myself. The taste is actually really good, and although it feels quite different from traditional toothpaste, I quickly have become to prefer the feeling. I would recommend and buy again (might be curious about the other flavours though).

I too would like to see this in a better container, given the gloppy consistency. Green Beaver? Couldja water it down a bit and put it in a pump bottle? Maybe I'll do it myself... We too lose a lot down the sink. Docking one star for the consistency/container mismatch.
Otherwise, great. Daughter (4) has a slight preference for the mint Green Beaver, but both are fuss-free toothpastes whose ingredients I like. I swallowed toothpaste until I was about six, and cringe at that, but I don't worry about the little schmears of Green Beaver being swallowed.

Does a great job cleaning teeth. My 3 and 5 year old love the taste and refuse to use any other toothpaste. I find the apple flavour gross but it seems to be a hit with kids. I wish they had a different container, though. A few times we've lost half a tube down the drain when the 3 year old has tried to do it all by herself. A flip top would be great too so I'm not constantly after the children to put the caps back on the toothpaste because it sort of runs out of the tube slowly without it.

The best kids' toothpaste I've found. My only complaint is the cap. It would be nicer if it had a flip-cap that's easy for kids to use, and for adults to use with one hand. This is a bit of a 'runny' toothpaste, so if you set the tube down on the counter, some paste might run out.

Chemical free! This toothpaste works really well. A little goes a long, long way! It scrubs really well. I find this particular flavour has a tiny aftertaste (which is not present in the orange or cilantro-mint flavours), but otherwise it's a great toothpaste.

It's great! It does not foam too much, the taste is great and your mouth feels great after the brush. My 3 year old is starting to use it now as well. He loves it (because of the Beaver, who has great teeth).

I do like this product. The taste is not strong, and I find i have less of that icky film on my teeth in the morning. Teeth feel cleaner, too. My six year old loves it, my two year old hates it with a passion. I will try a different flavor, though, when this tube is used up.

The current ingredient list above is incorrect. Green Beaver no longer uses sodium lauroyl sarcosinate as a foaming agent, they now use the far more naturally derived coco glucoside.
I have bad allergies and started noticing that products with sls were irritating my skin. I was also suffering from overly sensitive teeth and gum irritation. I tried brand name sensitivity toothpastes and other natural toothpastes for six months without success. Then I started to wonder if the sls in those toothpastes was the problem. Two months ago I began using Green Beaver and within two weeks my gums were no longer red and swollen and the sensitivity is nearly gone. I will never use anything else.
I also love that this toothpaste leaves my mouth feeling clean and that it does not have an overpowering fake taste. I like that I can brush my teeth and drink my morning coffee a few minutes later and it doesn't interfere with the taste of my coffee.

I bought this for my 5 year who doesn't like the minty toothpaste her older sister uses. I have not tasted this toothpaste (smells ok) but both kids seem to like it. What I like about this natural toothpaste is that it's gets foamy - we only use a pea sized amount.

I love the Green Beaver products. This toothpaste has a nice apple flavour, not sour like my husband was afraid it'd be. I think it does just as good a job, if not better, than the regular chemically toothpastes. The hygienist at the dentist even asked me about it. She said my gums look great.
