I'm not sure if this product will actually deter lice, how would you know? However, it's worth a try. Even if it doesn't prevent lice, I will give it 5 stars as a shampoo alone...soft, shiny hair and it smells great. Our whole family will use it.

I luckily have not had a chance yet to see if this product actually works! However, I can comment on the scent of it. It smells very much like citronella when in the bottle. I was worried it would make my son smell like he was all ready for a week of camping. However, it is actually a much lighter, far more pleasant scent when used. Does not smell like a natural bug repellant at all.
My son has curly blonde hair which can get knotted easily. We have had no problems with tangles when using this product.

Purchased this shampoo for in the event of lice. This summer was exceptionally hot and dry. Perfect recipe for lice outbreak. I have used this shampoo several times already. It has a nice lime smell. My 10 year old likes the smell and leaves the hair shiny, soft and tangle free. It doesn't leave an overpowering aroma the next day when she goes to school. So far know lice outbreak, yet. I do recommend this as a preventive as well as regular washing of hair. Also highly recommend to tell kids not to roll around on the ground and stay away from trees where the bugs love to hang out and wait for kids.
