Just when you thought smarty couldn’t get any smarter, it does. Still a super powerful detergent that cleans dirty dishes without resorting to dirty chemicals like phosphates and bleach, but now in a lightweight pouch that uses 87% less plastic than the original. Same clean, smaller footprint.
Instead of the nasty phosphates and bleach that make up conventional dishwasher detergent, Smarty Dish is made from super effective ingredients so green that one of them won a presidential green chemistry award (yes, that really is an award). The blend of mineral cleaning salts, anti-spotting agents and enzymes give smarty dish its serious kick, while the biodegradable and non-toxic ingredients mean no harmful residues or fumes to worry about in your home…or down the drain. The formula is DfE-recognized, with packaging made from an ultra lightweight yet sturdy pouch that uses 87% less plastic than a rigid canister.

I was skeptical as I've tried other "Green" dishwasher powders before but I was sick of the horrible chemical smells coming from the dishwasher when using conventional tabs. Especially with the new arrival of our baby, so I thought I'd give these a try. They clean GREAT and no chemical smell.

Wonderful! Cleans my dishes better than any other natural brand! Great smell, too! I only wish it came in a bigger package (20 tablets only). Love the smell! Gentle and not too over powering.

Great scent and I prefer to use Method as primary dishwasher detergent without all the harsh chemicals. Other tablets stick to your hands if they are wet or damp but not this product:) I would have given it a 5 but dishes do not always come out as clean and sparkly and sometimes have a white coating. Someone else mentioned adding vinegar instead of Jet Dry. I will have to give that a try on the next load. If the vingegar removes white coating then Method Smarty Dish Grapefruit get a 5 out of 5 from me.

Not only is this product environmently friendly.. but it works GREAT! I am a lazy pre-washer when it comes to loading the dishwasher and my dishes come out CLEAN! Little to no spots as well.. and I love the grapefruit scent it gives off! A FANTASTIC product!

Works perfectly, even gave a bag to my father-in-law and now he's hooked! Lovely scent, all natural, great clean. Also, I add vinegar instead of Jet-Dry and it works just fine!

I do like this product. No bleach, kind to the environment. Had to buy the drugstore's natural brand as they had stopped stocking most Method products :(
Tried theirs twice and had to take it back - left stuff all over the plates. This smells nice and the the plates, glasses and cutlery come out really nicely.

This is a fabulous product; great on the dishes and great for the environment. Very easy and convenient to use. Comes in unscented as well as a light pink grapefruit smell. I would still recommend a quick rinse of all dishes if they are going to be sitting a while. The outcome differs based on soft or hard water. Enjoy.

I agree with another reviewer: the no-more-than-necessary packaging is wonderful to see. I will continue to use this product from a company who was green before it was "cool."
