Most pesticides can't be removed from produce with water alone because they are designed to be water resistant. This way, they won't wash off in the rain. Fruit & Veggie Soak Concentrate was designed for produce which requires soaking such as grapes, berries, broccoli, and spinach. This type of produce has more hidden crevices where contaminants can hide. This formula has no taste, is odourless, residue-free and helps remove surface pesticides, chemicals, bacteria, wax and dirt. For firm produce like apples and tomatoes, try Fruit & Veggie Spray Wash.

Even organic produce should be washed. It can be exposed to everything from contaminated irrigation water to fertilizers, animal feces and human contact.

Ingredients: WATER, SODIUM LAUROYL SARCOSINATE (FOOD GRADE CLEANSER FROM PALM OIL), CARBOXY METHYL CELLULOSE (CELLULOSE GUM), WITCH HAZEL (NATURAL ASTRINGENT), CITRIC ACID, POTASSIUM SORBATE (FOOD GRADE PRESERVATIVE)

I have used this product for about 15 years now. I cannot live without it. When you see the cloudy color of the water after soaking your salad in it, you know it works. I use it on every vegetable and wash all fruit with a rind with it before I cut into it, as that is a good way of bringing bacteria into the food if you dont. Water can only clean off dirt, thats it. Vinegar based washes are to harsh for delicate lettuce leaves.

Seems to get off way more dirt (and chemicals) than just soaking in water. Fruits like apples is where you will really notice a difference, it takes that waxing coating right off so you don't have to eat it!

It really is quite soapy - don't use too much and rinse well.

Great Product !

Since using this product to clean produce, I won't use anything else. This was a good choice!

I use this on all my fruits and veggies. It's no trouble to use - I just put the produce in a colander in a bowl, add the Nature Clean and water, and drain and rinse a few minutes later. Inexpensive and lasts a very long time.

I highly recommend it!

I found that there was a smell to this product even though, it is advertized as odourless. I have found that more visible dirt is removed using this product so I am very happy I made this purchase.

I bought this before and really liked the product- there is no smell to it.
I know you could use vinegar and peroxide- like the other spray sold here and I bought that other spray cuz it was all the store had in stock.
Well,I did not realize the vinegar smell would be so strong, it really turns my stomach.

I am back to using this product.
not sure how much pesticides it removes, but my vegetables look much cleaner.
many times I buy produce and they are covered in dirt. this makes it easier to clean!

We love this product. Gives us the peace of mind that our fruits and veggies, even the hard to wash ones, are being rid of the surface pesticides, wax, etc..

I started to wash my fruits and vegetables with this wash at the behest of my nutritionist about a year ago. One bottle lasted a long time. Now that I'm pregnant, I feel a lot safer ensuring that any stray bacteria or mould are knocked out.

Have been using this product for years with great success. It is not meant to pour directly onto product but as a soak. This is especially useful when you buy fiddleheads, leafy vegetables, broccoli and cauliflower. Make sure to rinse the vegetables thoroughly. It helps when a salad spinner is used or a dish rack to dry them. For vegetables and fruits with skins, we use the spray version.

I love this product. I decided to buy the concentrate so I could use it as a soak and directly on things like apples. I was going to dilute some in a spray bottle, but decided to just use a drop whenever I needed it to save on space. When I used it on an apple, I was very happy to find the waxy residue was completely gone. There is absolutely no after taste from this product.

I wash ALL produce I buy at the supermarket as I don't know who handled them. I found that washing them with Nature Clean Fruit and Vaggie wash does a great job. Strawberries come out MUCH redder, brocolli MUCH greener and it also washes off that grey film that you often see on grapes. I would recommend this product for anyone who cares if their veggies and fruit are clean.

this was my first experience with produce wash. Normally, I soak them in water and vinegar for 5-10 minutes, then have to rinse and dry. This was so much easier. Because I bought the concentrate, I was able to put some in a spray bottle and dilute it with water to use on apples.

the main reason I liked this over the vinegar rinse was because there was a mild "soap" feel to it. So not only could I ensure that everything was getting cleaned, but it allowed me to work at the wax on the produce as well.

I'll be buying this forever.

I have been using this product for about 5 years now. I feel more confident that the dirt and germs are washed away.

I like this wash/soak. I bought it when I started prepping food for my daughter who is now 14 months old. I had never used it before. It rinses off clean and never tastes weird. I feel better knowing I've tried to clean veggies and fruit better than before.

I've been using this product for a couple of years and can attest to its effectiveness. The Shopping Bags review only tested for pesticides. Their lab results left me with more questions than answers regarding fruit and veggie washes. This product also removes bacteria, which explains why when I wash fruit with this product, it lasts much longer than if I do not wash with it. I use it to wash the rinds of fruit before I cut into them because if you don't, you're just pushing the bacteria from the rind into the flesh of the fruit. When you try to store the cut up fruit, it can last a good week before spoiling - not so with unwashed fruit. Also, you wash everything else before it goes into your mouth (hands, plates, utensils), why wouldn't you wash your fruit that people have been picking through?

Just so everyone knows, Shopping bags reviewed this exact fruit and veggie wash, and had the results tested in a lab. Food washed in this stuff had only slightly less pesticides on it than the not washed control sample....things washed in plain cold water had less than half that much pesticides.

I wouldn't think of preparing vegetables without using this veggie wash first! Think of the number of people who have handled the food you eat and the storage containers they may have been in, never mind the pesticides that have been sprayed on them, and you'll use it all the time too! I think it's great!

I use this to wash my fresh produce and it works well.
