I am a pretty busy on the go mom, with a 2 hour commute everyday not including pick up, drop off and after school activities I basically am lucky if I have time to grab a banana on the way out the door. I was really eager to try Carnation Breakfast Essentials and it did not disappoint! The chocolate is pretty delicious and doesn't taste super vitaminy (you know the taste I'm talking about) - I was able to quickly throw it into a mug, stir and go and enjoy it on the go. It's PACKED with vitamins and minerals so it's something I've definitely included in my morning routines!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I received this free as part of Chick Advisor's Product Review Club. I wouldn't buy this for myself. I find drinking a whole glass of milk in the morning leaves me feeling really heavy, but then hungry again just an hour or two later. The taste is kind of chalky and bland, and it doesn't really deliver on the promises it makes. The packaging leads you to believe that the powder is what contains all the protein and vitamins, but if you read the label, you're getting most of that from the milk. You'd get just as much benefit and better taste from drinking chocolate milk.

I used to remember it tasting like chalk, but now it actually tastes like a chocolate milkshake! It was very easy to mix with milk when I got to work, and kept me filled until lunchtime. The price point is also not too bad for the amount of drink mix envelopes you receive in the box. I also enjoyed the fact that it did not leave any grimy powder in the bottom of the glass that I was using, that stuff is really hard to clean off! I was selected by ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club to review this product for free.

I have a hard time getting enough protein each day so I was happy to see how much was in each serving. I found thagt the powder was a little harder then expected to dissolve in the milk by stirring, so I found it quicker and easier to put it in a drink bottle that I could shake to dissolve it. I liked the flavour and it was creamy. I will definitely buy it again. I would also recommend it to a friend, or anybody who is looking for a quick way to get extra protein in, or to use as a breakfast supplement. I #gotitfree from Chick Advisor - Thank you!!!

I tried the have always Carnation Breakfast Essentials Powder Drink Mix in Chocolate and I really enjoyed it, the taste is delicious and so creamy yummy!!!! I take first thing in the morning and it has help me a lot, in the morning I dont always have the time to sit and enjoy breakfast this powder drink ha s all vitamins I need just mix with milk and done! Love it! I will always have it on my kitchen perfect for those days in a hurry! <br />
I absolutely recommend this product!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Okay so I am unsure of the "value" category as I got this through product review club, but man to be honest I actually feel able to accomplish my day after mixing one of these up. <br />
I had a bike head injury that has made me feel sluggish for about 6months now and it has been hard to get the energy to workout, but this actually gave me aboost I needed to power through a workout. I don't normally tout things like that, but this worked for me. <br />
I won't buy it regularly as the ingredients are not quite what I was hoping for, in the sugars and milk proteins areas, but I will use up my box of samples for sure pre-workout.

I tried the Chocolate Carnation Breakfast Essentials Powder Drink Mix on its own with milk and found it satisfying, but I preferred to blend it in a smoothie instead. Since adding the Carnation Breakfast Essentials to my morning routine,I noticed a difference in my energy levels from all of the nutrients packed into the mix. All in all, a great morning fix for a busy working mom! Totally recommend this one! :)

I had seen this product on the shelves at the grocery store and had been meaning to try it when the opportunity came up to try it as part of the product review club! #IGotItForFree I loved the Carnation Breakfast essentials! I really love the amount of protein in each serving and the fact that it has vitamins makes me feel like I'm killing two birds with one stone; having a meal and getting some vitamins in.... and it tastes amazing!!!! I tried it with different types of milk; regular, almond, soy and rice and all of them were delicious! I will definitely be purchasing this product to have in the pantry for quick on the go breakfasts!
