Combs that come with any of the lotion treatments do not remove the nits, only the dead lice it kills. With this product, once you use Listerine to kill the lice and then vinegar to unglue and loosen the nits, will easily and painlessly remove the eggs. Key to removing this infestation from your home and incessant head scratching of your own hair is elimination and removal of the eggs. With two sensitive little girls, this comb helped reduce the emotional impact and torment caused during this unfortunate event. It was through the advice of a neighbor, not search engines, that introduced us to this comb.

This is a great product, and works equally well on fine, straight hair and thick curly hair. Using this comb, in combination with one application of a lice shampoo resulted in having to spend only one evening ensuring both girls were lice and nit-free and able to attend daycare/school the next day (both with no-nit policies). I had borrowed comb from a friend and purchased my own; we use it once a week as a preventive measure.

The plastic combs in the NIX box are just that. (Say NIX to those cheap plastic so-called lice/nit combs.)THIS comb is heaven to use on a head riddled with lice. Our 9 year old, sadly came down with lice, thanks to an incompetent Mom who didn't research enough to get rid of it in her kids. THIS comb is the ONLY one I will trust, and it is so much nicer/easier to use. It is worth EVERY PENNY! A must-have in every home. COMB DAILY and wash and dry sheets and pillow cases every day on hot wash/hot dry. Pharmacies in our town didn't carry this, I don't know why! The ones they sold were totally useless. Thanks, well.ca!

In my experience: The price may seem a bit higher than other combs but that is because it is built strong and meant to last for life. It glides through the hairs gently and removes every tiny thing (I screened and I found tiny lint fibers, tiny flakes and some sort of nearly microscopic paint chip lol). Best comb I ever used and probably the last comb you'd ever have to buy. I don't have kids, but I worry with every itch and now I don't have to.

This is a well made product that is well designed. It has soft grip edges so that it won't slip in your hand. Spiral edges on each tooth that grab nits. Made of chromed steel that can be boiled. Strong construction. Probably the best comb on the market. Highly recommended.
