Directions: Shake well. Use after hair has been washed with a conditioner-free
shampoo, rinsed with water and thoroughly towel-dried. Apply a
sufficient amount of NIX® Creme Rinse on hair for 10 minutes. Rinse off
with water. Remove nits using the nit removal comb provided. if you see
live lice or nits on the 7th day (or after) following the first
application, NIX® Creme Rinse should be applied a second time. See
package insert for more detailed directions for use, precautions,
warnings and information on head lice management. Product monograph is
available to health care professionals on request.
Step 1: Treat
- Wash hair with a shampoo without conditioner. Do not use a shampoo that contains a conditioner or a conditioner alone since this may decrease the activity of Nix®. Rinse with water and towel dry hair
- Apply Nix® Crème Rinse and saturate the hair and scalp, behind the ears and at the back of the neck
- Keep Nix® out of the eyes. Leave in for 10 minutes to eliminate lice and their eggs (nits) and rinse with warm water
- Insider Tip - You can use a washcloth or towel to prevent Nix from getting in the eyes
Step 2: Comb
- Remove lice and eggs (nits) with the included comb. Clean the comb completely as you go by wiping the nits from the comb with a tissue and throw away the tissue in a sealed plastic bag to prevent the lice from coming back
- Rinse hair thoroughly with warm water after removing lice and eggs (nits)
Precautions: For external use only. Itching, redness or swelling of the scalp may occur. If irritation persists consult a doctor. Avoid contact with eyes; if it occurs immediately flush eyes with water. In case of accidental swallowing contact a doctor or poison control centre immediately.
Warning: Keep out of children. If you are a pregnant or breast-feeding, consult a doctor before using this product. Safety and effectiveness in children less than two years of age has not been established. Consult your doctor. Do not use if you have known sensitivities or reactions to permethrin, any ingredients of the product, any synthetic pyrethroid or pyrethrin or to chrysanthemums.
