I cannot feel heat due to nerve damage, but even a small amount of heat helps the muscles relax, which is always a good thing. This pad is slightly thinner than the standard ones, which makes it great for a neck support on the tall backrest. The Velcro is also more secure on this pillow than on the standard ones, likely because this pad is heavier, but it makes transport easier.
