Gluten Free, Wheat Free
INGREDIENTS: Rice flour, potato starch, water, non-hydrogenated canola oil, sugar, salt, methylcellulose (thickening agent), yeast, calcium propionate (preservative), monoglycerides, garlic, oregano and parsley.
I found these crumbs a bit too gritty - there were bit in the mix that felt like eating sand - I am not sure whether it is the way I cooked them. I spread a mayo and grated cheese mixture on chicken breasts and then sprinkled the crumbs on top and put them in the oven for about 20 minutes....
Greg product. Make chicken nuggets for my husband and son and they cannot taste the difference. A little salty though.
Even if I wasn't gluten-free, I'd use these. My non-GF husband, who does all of the cooking, prefers these over regular bread crumbs -- when making faux-fried chicken or fish in the oven, they lend a much better crunch to the final product.
I used these for the first time the other night as a fried chicken coating and was impressed with how crispy it turned out - not to mention that the flavour was terrific too! My husband (non-GF) really enjoyed them, so I'm making them part of my kitchen staples.
Great product! We're new to the gluten free diet and these allow us to make many of our favourite meals.
These rice bread crumbs are the BOMB! I used them to coat some pork chops (rice flour egg these crumbs) and they came out super crispy and juicy, and nice and dark. Even my non-gluten-free boyfriend is very impressed, and likes these better than traditional breadcrumbs.
Will definitely be buying these again.
