I have used these boots for 3 years for my poodle and love them. He isn't crazy about getting them on but he hates the salt more. I get a winter season out of one package. I love how clean they keep his feet.

I bought these boots for my golden retriever, it does not work. it is impossible to keep them on

We tried these boots a couple years ago, on our three German Shepherds, and the boots didn't work out for them at all - they were impossible to put on. These boots are, basically, extremely thick balloons, and you have to stretch the ends with your fingers just enough to put the dog's paw through. That stretching part prove to be pretty much impossible and, if your dogs is the excited type that, knowing it's walk time, just cannot sit still for one more second, chances are you won't be all that successful with shoeing your dog either.
We ended up shelling big (roughly 3 times the price of these, but totally worth it) bucks for three pairs of RuffWear "sneakers" and tall winter boots.
