The hammer from this toy is my 9 month old daughters favorite toy. She carries it around and bangs on everything. I am sure when she is a little older she will enjoy the toy for what it is meant for but from 7 months she loved the hammer.

It is 7 months later and my little one is almost 2 and still enjoys hitting the little balls with the hammer... it's kinda satisfying, I'll admit.

This really is a great toy for a one-year-old. Only takes a little demo time before they figure it out. My daughter laughs when the ball rolls out the bottom. It's cute! She spent way more time on this than on her other toys. So did her 4-yr-old sister, though I would not have bought it for her!

This toy rocks! My 18 month old daughter loves it. Immediately she started hammering on the balls and putting them back in the holes. She loves seeing them fall through and roll out. Great also for teaching her colors and coordination. I decided on this toy and the "cone sorting" after reading all the reviews on other sites, she really likes them both.
