Scalpicin® Anti-Itch Liquid "Hypoallergenic Formula". For everyday scalp itch associated with seborrheic dermatitis, use Scalpicin Anti-Itch Liquid "Hypoallergenic Formula." This formula contains salicylic acid, which effectively breaks up the flaking that causes itching. This treatment can be used daily to help alleviate the flaking that is causing the itch from seborrheic dermatitis. It is good to use when weather, hairstyling, medications and dry skin exacerbate the seborrheic dermatitis.
This colorless, odorless, greaseless, concentrated scalp medication helps stop itching. Its ease of application allows it to be used anytime of the day, unlike a shampoo, and it will not affect hairstyles. It can be used several times every day (up to four times daily), as needed, and takes only seconds to apply.

It works, but I have to use a lot. Initially it makes my scalp about 20 times itchier than it already was, but then it calms it down. I got this stuff to keep myself from scratching my scalp at night, and it does work. Will not cure the problem, but will postpone/prevent it.

Almost completely removed the need to use steroids on my scalp. I am trying on other areas of skin that have atrophy from too long using steroids and it does at least 85% as good. The cooling sensation can be overwhelming so I rinse it off. For someone who has terrible eczema on their scalp this stuff is heaven sent. No more steroids!

Scalpicin Review. I have had an itchy scalp for years....tried many, many different shampoos but they did not help much. I have found Scalpicin to be very good....it goes on nice and immediately stops the itch. It does not leave the hair gooy and it has only a very slight and good smell. I use it after showering.
