This sugar-based natural mascara is another unique product from Suncoat. Made with natural sugar-based biopolymer, kaolin clay, earth pigments and enriched with Vitamin E, it naturally builds lash volume and length! It is a superior alternative for your sensitive eyes and for our environment!

Although NOT waterproof, this natural mascara has GREAT wear-ability. It resists smudging, but washes off easily with regular skin cleanser and water.

I was going to give the product a 3, but because it is so environmentally-friendly, vegan AND Canadian, it merited an extra star. The product goes on nicely, but it doesn't stay put. It easily rubs off and is not at all waterproof. It does come off nicely though when I cleanse my face, which is awesome. When on, it looks extremely natural, so if you want a dramatic look, this probably isn't the product for you.

Again, I prefer Afterglo, however it's not easy to purchase. This is my second in line mascara. Rated safe on EWG.org. Does not harm eyes (as in IF my child got into my make up, she would have hours of fun without the crying from the sting). It does easily come off in water (as in one wash and it's gone), so those who are used to waterproof will not like this product.
Those who commented that they found it thick should talk with C/S Rep. It's not that thick, I actually thought it was a bit thin, until a few uses. So maybe you bought one that was not closed properly?

Natural product, natural look. I like it!! I have been using it everyday over a month and my eyes had no reaction whatsoever, so if you have allergy reactions to chemicals in make up, it's a great product!

I love this mascara. It does smudge if you rub your eyes or tear up but I only have to easily correct it once or twice a day. I love the medium brown color, it's exactly what I was looking for. The look is very natural. I have light eyelashes so it works for me, but you won't get the huge bold look of other mascaras on the market. It's truly amazing that it doesn't sting at all if it gets in your eyes.

I was excited to find such a natural mascara, unfortunately this is the worst mascara I have ever bought. It was like trying to spread partly dried glue onto my lashes. I couldn't get it to stick for any decent coverage and applying a 2nd coat left massive clumps. I'm wondering if it was expired or something because it was so dry and partly tacky it was uncomfortable to apply. Huge disappointment and waste of money. It's going in the garbage.

I am 110% pleased with this product. I have a tried a few other vegan brands of mascara and while they were alright, they didn't get a "wow" from me. This one totally does! I already have dark eyelashes, so in a mascara I'm really looking for something to add volume/length/curl. While not necessarily volumizing, this mascara DEFINITELY defines my eyelashes and even helps to curl them and make them more obvious. So pleased!
I didn't find it sticky, difficult to apply, or clumpy as other reviewers have suggested. On the contrary, I found the formula very smooth and easy to use. My only complaint is that it seems to transfer onto my eyelids after application more easily that some other mascaras, but it's easy to remove with a cotton swab. Even then, that probably has more to do with my application technique than the product itself.
For those looking for a cruelty-free and vegan mascara - do not miss this one!!

I really like this mascara. I love that it is natural, and I don't have to worry about my eyes absorbing loads of chemicals. It doesn't last as long as other chemical mascaras, I put it on in the morning but would need to re-apply in the evening if I was going out. It does flake off quite a bit throughout the day, so I have to run my fingers under my eyes to remove the tiny flakes that have fallen. That being said, I wear contacts and any flakes that might be falling in my eyes do not bother my contacts at all- which I think is a good thing compared to the normal chemical burn I'd be feeling in my eyes! It does stay wet for a little while when you apply, but it doesn't bother me. I will be sticking with this mascara- it is a great natural product.

I've just started using this mascara but am very impressed for an all natural product. Yes, it does take a couple of coats and if you wait too long, it may clump a little but once you get the hang of how to apply it, it is really great. My biggest complaint about other all-naturals is that they always smudge under my eyes and this one does not - even while wearing heavy duty, greasy sunscreen. It also washes of very easily. Highly recommend giving this Canadian product a try! :-)

I've only been using this mascara for a short while, but so far I like it. It seems to take a few coats for it to show up well and it has flaked a bit on me on very warm days. Overall, though, I'm happy. Especially considering that the ingredients are all natural and it is a Canadian product.

This mascara is a very gentle product, I have very sensitive skin and it's fine for me. However it doesn't give your eye lashes the definition that regular mascara does - not even close. It also comes off VERY easily, doesn't take much to smudge.

Amazing mascara, I'm very happy with my decision. The colour is great (black) and it makes my lashes look long and shiny. This is a NATURAL product though so it is not waterproof by any means. I've never had a problem with it rubbing off or raccoon eyes, but if you rub your eyes a lot or cry I'm sure some will come off. Also, you need to put it on carefully but doing one coat and then another and wiggle the brush as you go to ensure your lashes don't clump or stick. I read other reviews about this happening but don't worry, as long as you are careful you will be fine. The first time I messed up a little bit and just used an eyelash comb to fix it, no biggie. Despite these two kinks it is an all natural product and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

I like this mascara. It does feel a little sticky the first couple of times you use it, but after a while you get used to it. I have not noticed any running other than when it gets wet. Comments that it runs easily turned out to be untrue in my experience. I've had my tube for months now and it has not dried out like another review said.
I would NOT swim with this mascara and it washes off very easily with soap and water. I actually appreciate that it washes off easily.
If I am going to be swimming or seeing a sad movie, I'll consider using the chemical-heavy waterproof mascara, but in the meantime, I like this one very much.

Everyone who has reviewed seems to misunderstand what is possible with a true natural mascara. It's all the chemicals in mainstream products that make them glide on easily and last all day/waterproofing. If you remove those chemicals, of course the formula will feel completely different! I've tried many natural mascara's and this one is by far my favorite. Yes, it is sticky. Yes, it applies differently. You do need to wiggle and work it into your lashes but once there it gives volume to the lashes and stays put unless you're in a humid or wet environment- of course. I like that this is sugar based, any water-based natural mascaras won't let your lashes keep their curl as they 'wet' the curl out. This keeps the curl, gives volume and works well! If you are serious about a natural mascara, give this one a try.

I was vwey disappointed with this mascara. It is very dry and hard to put on. It isn't clumpy and lasts a while though. I wouldn't buy it again.

I bought this mascara awhile ago. At first I was disappointed by how difficult it was to get on. My eyelashes are platinum so I NEED mascara that will cover well.
Then a few days ago I came across a tip that made this mascara work MUCH better! Hold a business card between your lashes and your eyelid, so it acts as a backing to keep your lashes in places while you paint on the mascara. It works, I swear.

I absolutely love this product. It goes on so nicely and doesn't clump lashes. Most mascaras (even natural ones) give me blisters on my eyelids but this one doesn't irritate at all. It does take some time to dry so make sure you give yourself a few minutes before you go out.

I bought this because I wanted a mascara with all natural ingredients. However, this is basically unusable because of the texture. It honestly feels like trying to put Elmer's craft glue on your lashes. It is that sticky and goopy.

I have used this product for almost a year now and and I have enjoyed the results. I have nearly invisible blond eyelashes and when I put the Suncoat mascara on you can really see the difference! The mascara goes on nicely, and it rarely clumps. It's also good to know it's natural and not full of chemicals that would hurt my health in the long-term.
My only complaint, like for most mascaras I have used, is that you need to use a powder foundation underneath your eyes or it will slightly smudge on your oily skin. Overall though it's a great product!

I love this mascara! The ingredients are great (I admit that that sways my review a little bit) and I haven't had the issues some have complained about.
It is a bit of a sticky/dry mascara during application compared to some, but it's manageable. It dries well (and quickly), so it doesn't feel sticky at all on me during the day, which was a pleasant surprise. I don't have trouble with application, have had fewer issues with it clumping (probably because I have a lot of lashes and it's fairly dry--not globby or gooey), and it hasn't smudged, smeared, or run down my face ever in maybe 1 month of constant use in the winter. (However, I haven't worn it to work out, cry, dance in the rain, etc.) I have oily skin, yet it hasn't irritated my eyes or "melted" like I had expected from some of the poor reviews.
It's my new favourite mascara combined with their liquid liner!

Like the other reviewer Theresa, I wanted to buy this because it was organic and Canadian...but what a bad product! Pay attention to the fact that it's sugar-based and ask yourself what happens to sugar when it gets even slightly damp. Don't buy this product unless you plan never to sweat, blink, walk into humid rooms, weep, or frown (and this product will make you weep and frown). I hope the company tries again...we need more Canadian organic companies.

I love it- mine has not dried up at all unlike the usual brands. You just have to apply sparingly, and you only need one coat, and it's beautiful. I've had no problems. Don't wear it in the pouring rain, without an umbrella, and you'll be fine. I love how easy it is to remove.

I agree not a good product.....ECCO BELLA is good (purer than most mascaras) but it has small amounts of paprabens.....so I am now going to try Theresa's suggestion and try Raindance cosmetics.

The worst mascara I've ever used. Very messy applicator that clumps lashes badly. Does not build length or thickness. Product smeared into raccoon eyes within an hour, although I was not wearing moisturizer and do not have oily lids. Tube dried up within 2 days, although it was securely capped. I wanted to like this because it's Canadian and organic, but it's overpriced and does not deliver as advertised. Try Raindance mascara, instead.
