Skin Food for dry and rough skin.
Intensely hydrates and cares for the skin. Ultra-moisturizing, pure Lanolin and anti-blemish, organic Pansy nourishes and soothes dry and damaged skin. A precious essential oil blend of lavender, rosemary and sweet orange oil refresh the skin and the senses. Apply this whole body cream to your skin anytime, with special attention to extra dry areas, such as the feet, hands and elbows.
Directions for use: Apply a small amount to dry or rough skin as needed and massage into the skin until the cream is absorbed. A light, protective film may remain on the skin's surface. To deeply nourish hard-working, dry hands liberally apply the cream on the hands, cover with cotton gloves and leave on overnight.

Although this is designed for rough skin, I use this before bed on my face. It has helped immeasurably with forming a barrier overnight from bacteria that forms acne. It is a thick, greasy product so it is difficult to use during the day but overnight it is a really awesome moisturizer. This has a strong scent of cirtus peel which is quite nice. I recommend this highly, overnight it leaves no residue (it will during the day because it takes hours to absorb) and leaves a wonderful soft skin behind.

I can only say good things about all Weleda products. Skin Food is no exception. I'm amazed at how a tiny, (and I mean tiny dab on my hands at night), allows me to wake up to beautifully moisturized hands the next morning. I also love the subtle, natural scent!

This product is the best natural one I have found yet for very dry hands. It doesn't quickly rinse off and really works. It does leave a slight film on the hands if applied generously but it's worth it for the effect.

This stuff is the real deal! I have the driest, most damaged skin on the planet - especially on my legs, from years of broiling my fair skin in the sun back in the day. I have tried everything on the market to remedy this situation, but nothing has worked - UNTIL NOW! Skin Food is a perfect name for this product, because that's exactly what it does, it feeds that dry skin and makes it softer. It's on the pricey side, but it's oh so worth the money! If you have damaged skin, give it a try. I don't think you'll regret it.
Worth every penny!: a few months ago
I have a drawer full of unfinished products that didn't make the grade but Skin Food is one that I consistently use up and purchase again. It is thick and a bit greasy but in Calgary's dry climate that's what works! Makes a huge difference in my nails and cuticles. Highly recommend.

This product is awesome! Comparable to spa products for hands and feet. I get very painful cracked skin on my fingerpads and using this nightly has healed them completely. It also smells heavenly!! I highly recommend this product.

I'm using this product as night cream. It's a bit too oily for daytime use but perfectly safe for face. Only downside is container of old-fashioned metal tube which is hard to squeeze. Plastic tube or glass jar is preferred.

This is the best hand cream i've ever used! I've been using it for a couple of years now and absolutely swear by it. I am very fair and prone to dry skin and my hands tend to get quite dry in the winter and sometimes red and cracked skin around the knuckles. Not when i use this cream!! it works!! and it's all natural..no harmful parabens or preservatives...LOVE IT! :-D. I also use it on my face in the winter.

This smells great and comes in a convenient size. However, I bought it because my hands were very dry and I find that while it soothes, it doesn't cure dry skin.

This is one of my must have products. The formulation is very rich and works perfectly as a night time moisturizer for my dry skin. It has a subtle pleasant clean/natural scent. It has never caused my skin to breakout or clog my pores. Highly recommended!

A great product for dry to very dry skin. The advantage is that depending on the season, you don't even have to moisturize your dry skin with this cream every day. You can apply it every other day because its richness and oils make even very dry skin stay moisturized much longer than many other body creams out there. Love it, Been using it for 3 years+. Much better than creams containing wax or vaseline or paraffin (the latter two are not even healthy for you).

I'm outside all summer - barefoot - and this cream has been a miracle. It deals with my dry feet, elbows, hands. As reviewed earlier, it does leave a film but I use it only at night and by morning everything is smooth. The scent is pronounced but my husband likes it also so we both use it.

I love this stuff! It says it's made for dry skin like elbows, but I use it on my face. It leaves my skin super soft (great for counter-balancing the effects of benzoyl peroxide) and doesn't make me break out. In fact my skin is clearer the mornings after I use it than the days that I don't. The only downside is that it does leave a bit of a film, so I can't use it in the morning, but using it at night seems to be enough anyway.

If something works really well I don't really care ho it smells or how much there is. I just want it to work. I guess it worked OK but I'm not sure if it was any better than a product half it's price. Add in the fact that it smell like piine trees in my opinion and it just doesn't cut it for me. I guess like all skin care products it just depends on how it works for you. For me there was no wow factor.

My favorite Weleda product! My skin is extremely dry and I can use this heavy lotion on my face (before bed) and body. I wish I could find the larger bottle though...

If you do want a naturally deep moisturizing sensation,,,this will hit the spot. However, if you are not into oily creams, this product is not for you.

I REALLY like this product. The consistency is comparable to an ointment. It does have a somewhat strong scent to it, although it dissipated after a short while. I would not think it's suitable for the face, but for rough, dry skin like the knees, elbows or feet. One application(it is now 48 hours later), and my skin feels amazing!

And it works wonders on my kids little faces during the wintertime when the air is dry and cold. Great for outdoors!!!!! Of course, it might be a littlt to oily to wear under make-up, but anyway that is not what it is made for.

I got it because I heard it's good for blemishes and pimples. However, this is not true. It is very thick and oily. Probably good for people with dry skin that needs nutrients and lots of oil. It does make skin more soft. However, my skin is fine as it is and it did not help with the breakouts.

I got the Skin Food as a present for my birthday. My skin is really dry and if I breakout, it leaves a mark even if I don't touch them. I tried everything, herbal to chemical, to help since I was 12. Now I am 26.
This is the first ever product that worked towards hydrating my skin and it worked the first time I used it.
