With packaging currently around 75% waste free, Elate continues to make efforts to become a 100% plastic free and waste free company. Many of their products are housed in Bamboo, a self-regenerating natural resource. And they offer refills for most products which they package in Seed Paper. These paper envelopes have a variety of non-invasive wildflower seeds embedded within; all you have to do is remove your refill, soak the paper, plant, and watch your garden grow! This creates a closed loop (or ?cradle to cradle?) system that results in a truly zero waste experience.
The seed blend is non-GMO and approved for planting in Canada, the US, EU, UK, New Zealand, Australia and many other countries worldwide. All seed paper used by Elate is made from 100% post-consumer and post-industrial fibre, meaning that no trees are cut down to produce their envelopes.
