Boris Oak founded EVOLVh, a luxury, natural haircare brand, in 2010, using the purest, natural ingredients combined with state-of-the art science. His goal was to provide consumers with products that would help restore hair to its healthiest, most youthful state.
Boris immigrated with his family to Fremont, California from the former Soviet Union in 1978. His mother was a civil engineer in Russia, but as a young mother with two small children and no English language skills, she decided to embark on a new and more flexible career as a hairdresser. Soon after, she opened a salon of her own. Twenty years later, Boris began managing that same salon, elevating it into one of the top-retailing salons in the United States.
Having grown up with a health-conscious mindset thanks to a mother very ahead of her time in terms of healthy, farm-to-table living, Boris had a vision to create a high-performance, luxury natural-haircare line. He used his family's salon as a laboratory for testing his new product ideas. After receiving other hairdressers and clients' auspicious feedback, Boris knew he was onto something special. Boris' mission is to treat hair from the inside-out and to give people amazing, naturally-healthy hair. Thus, EVOLVh was born.
