In 2005, Hilary's Eat Well founder created her original veggie burger recipe for her restaurant in Lawrence, Kansas. She wanted it to taste great and be free of all common food allergens and artificial ingredients. She met all of her goals with that recipe, and customers soon named it "The World's Best Veggie Burger." In 2010, she started Hilary's with the intention of creating delicious, convenient, "free-from" products for everyone.

Today, every product they create has to meet the following standards: Convenient. They make foods for people who care about what they eat while living their busy lives. Clean. Their certified organic ingredients are real food, minimally processed and as close to their natural state as possible. Free-from. They will never include any common allergens in their products. That means they are all gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, soy-free, corn-free and nut-free. Sustainable. They consider long-term sustainability in their business practices. Yummy. Let's never forget that taste is king. If it doesn't taste good, why even bother?
