Certainly isn't pasta.
If you thought that you might like to have a nice penne addition to your keto or gluten free pasta dish, you will be surprised! But in a bad way. You might as well just buy some chewing gum, or cut up bits of an old tire and cook it in with your pasta sauce, because the effect will be the same. I should've known when the instructions told me to squeeze excess water out of the pasta that it would hold together like glue. Additionally the pasta sauce does not stick to it, no matter how long you let it soak/simmer. If you're thinking of purchasing this, maybe first apologize to your mouth in advance.

Love them.
No, they aren't flour pasta. Anyone ordering them thinking they are going to eat pasta like flour pasta is fooling themselves. But since I can't eat flour pasta I find the Liviva brand very nice. They go very well with spaghetti sauce or a cheese sauce. I just rinse them off and cover with sauce.

Rubbery
I’ve been eating Angel hair shirataki for 2 years and while it’s not the same as normal pasta - it’s a reasonable substitute with zero carbs. This penne however was just inedible. I rinsed repeatedly - boiled for 3 minutes then dry pan fried for 5 minutes. They had zero smell but the texture was horrible. Just like rubber tubes. I wish I had used the regular shirataki as these were twice the price. I could only get halfway through and then I just couldn’t swallow them any longer.
