Skin feels fantastic

I enjoy the scent, which is fresh with a subtle floral hint. The cool sensation on my skin is delightful, and it effectively keeps my skin hydrated. This primer works deeply within the pores, replenishing the skin with ultimate moisture. I appreciate that the formula is lightweight and non-greasy and that the gel-like texture absorbs effortlessly into my skin. It has not caused any breakouts. Overall, my skin has become noticeably softer and appears more youthful. I love it

It absorbs very quickly and gave my skin a soft, moisturized feeling afterwards. It barely feels like there is anything there but my skin is noticeably softer and less dry. I think this is the perfect daily moisturizer that I would wear for a fresh faced look or under make up.
I really liked this product and I would definitely purchase it again. I received Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Gel Cream to try and review for free as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club.

I've been using high end products for years that calls out hydration, but this one is great value, 1/3 of the price and works even better than brands like biotherm and Clinique!!!
I only need a little bit every morning and I can put my makeup on without feeling greasy. I am very impressed by this product and by neutrogena.

This hydro boost gel proved to be just as effective. The only con is that it's not the typical affordable price that one would expect from a drugstore brand. However, the product really delivers on its claims. In fact, it is pretty lightweight and it absorbed quickly into my skin, which made it easy for my make-up application. In addition, the hydration it gave lasted for most of the day.

I love how it applies - it's very lightweight and absorbed into my skin very quickly. It's not sticky so it feels great on. The concept of a gel cream was interesting as I've never tried a gel moisturizer before. I usually stick to creams. But I was very impressed with how little you need and how moisturized my skin felt! The only downside is that it's a little bit on the pricey side but still worth it if you want to try it. I would definitely repurchase it when it goes on sale!

My new favourite moisturizer!

I'm so glad I did because I most likely would not have bought this otherwise (but I will going forward). I have combination skin which gets particularly dry in the winter. This did the trick. It kept my skin moisturised without being greasy, all day. The gel consistency is great - lightweight and absorbs easily. It's not scented, which I really liked and a little went a long way. As the packaging is quite large, it would be great if they made refills so we can reuse the plastic jar. Otherwise, this is now a staple on my shelf.

Overall, I think this gel-cream is a drugstore equivalent to higher end gel creams available.
I liked this cream and found that it soaked into my skin well. Hands down, the best gel-cream I have used from the drugstore. The scent wasn't overpowering and my skin felt moisturized. It provided a great base for makeup.
I didn't find my skin felt hydrated all day with this product, but it wasn't super dry either.
Overall, I would use this product again and recommend to friends who like a gel-cream product.

Very good
The cream was good very hydrating and light and smells great. The cream doesn’t make my skin feel like there’s cream piled up, the cream sinks in leaving smooth skin. You might need another cream on top if you want to really be moisturized because it sinks in so fast but it’s still moisturized but it feels like u don’t have tons of cream on. The only PROBLEM was my container wasn’t filled to the top like the advertisements showed and it wasn’t even close to filled up, i thought maybe someone used it cause it was easy to open. But a little of the cream goes along way so that’s good. Over all i would buy it again it’s not to expensive it works it’s nice.

Lines Disappear!
I don't usually write reviews, but this product deserves one! I have acne prone skin, with A LOT of fine lines and wrinkles. After using this just 3 days, most of my fine lines have noticeably disappeared, and even the most stubborn ones are shrinking! This took 5 years off my face in a week. Definitely worth the price - this is a high end product at a drug store price. By far the best moisturizer I've ever used!

Intense moisturization for extra-dry skin
What i realy loved about this product is that Fragrance-free, the texture and the cream goes on nicely, you dont need much to cover intire face. My job requires me outdoors much of the time and I experience extra-dry skin. This gel-cream moisturizer helped hydrate my skin all day. When you rub it on youre face the cream absorbs in seconds, and amazing how soft youre skin becomes, no matter how dry it is. I do recommend this product and give it 5 thumbs up.

Decent but missing some things
Firstly, for the money you don't need to use too much so the gel is lasting a while. I don't mind the smell at all but I think it's a bit more drying than hydrating. I agree with another client that it seems to be sucked up by my skin really fast. I do wish it had a spf or something a little more protective but it works well under makeup and dries quickly leaving no greasy stickiness feeling behind, but I do wish that it was more moisturizing feeling. So far I have had little acne so I appreciate that but have used other products that were in a lower price price range that I found worked just as well and had more of a moisturizing feeling than this one.

I received a sample of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream free from Chickadvidor. at first i really liked the texture and lightness of the gel cream. upon use i found that it really dried out my skin, made it super flakey, it also turned my face red. I had to apply it multiple times in a row to get a decent amount of moisture. I have combination skin. It also made my face dull. there was no hydrating or moisturizing aspect to it and i am very disappointed as i had high hopes for this cream. i would recommend this to anyone with oily skin, it may help take away a lot of the oil.

The texture is smooth and airy. I loved how soft my face was afterwards and how glowy it made me look. It was not sticky and it was quick absorbing. I couldn't get enough of it and still can't! Without this sample, I never would've bought this product so thank you so much!!
The cost compared to how much product you use is so minimal. You barely need to use any and it'll cover your whole face. I very much so recommend this product!!

I honestly love using it under my eyes, it is so hydrating and refreshing and feels so good. In addition it smells great too. The texture is gel creamy, and a little goes a long way. So I would rate the value to be really good because of that.
Would recommend, give this a try if you are in search of another cream! I have oily skin, and I had a really good experience with the product.

It doesn't take much, and it leaves my skin feeling amazing. I can't believe I've never tried Neutrogena before. This was only a small sample, but I've already got a lot of use out of it. I can't wait to see the difference in a few weeks! I'll definitely be buying this cream next time. I saw a lot of reviews before about the strong smell, but I really didn't notice that. I find it overall just great - smell, application, and effectiveness.

I applied the moisturizer to my face and neck every morning and night and let me tell you how nice it feels applying Neutrogena Hydroboost gel cream. It absorbs so nicely and I can feel the hydration instantly. It feels really lightweight and moisturized. The scent smells amazing and does not linger. Really love that it is formulated with hyaluronic acid which helps moisturize extra dry skin and is gentle for all skin types including oily skin. My skin feels so smooth and hydrated. Love it!

This one is very nice. It’s watery and gel like so very refreshing but also has a certain creaminess you’d expect from a cream vs a gel. The scent is subtle and clean. It absorbs quickly and didn’t leave any unpleasant film on my face. It sat well under my foundation and did not make my oily tzone and worse. I really did like this product and recommend trying it if you want a light but moisturizing cream. This would be nice in the summer.

I liked how hydrated my skin felt after i had used the cream and I found that it had a nice fresh smell to it. However, I did not like the consistency or texture of the cream, as I felt that it had a feeling similar to simply putting water on my face. I think it would be nice on a hot summer morning to feel fresh while maybe out camping or at a cottage where you don't have running water. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to hydrate and quench their skin!

Terrible reaction
Had high hopes for this product, however it has broken my skin so terribly. I regret buying this completely and I have great skin but my concern is the dryness. Around the 4th-5th day of using this I woke up to a burning red face with a prickly rash all over my forehead, cheeks, chin, everywhere. My skin looks CHEMICALLY burned. My cheeks are burned to the touch and the rash all over my forehead is disgusting. After doing a lot of review reading I learned I wasn’t the only one with this reaction. Please don’t take the burning sensation as “it doing it’s job” on the first tries. I will never go back to this product, and will stay away from Neutrogena forever.

I think it is a good cream to use under my makeup during the day time as it doesn’t feel greasy. I would also use it in the summer time at night when I go to sleep since I don’t need a super thick moisturizer. I also think that this moisturizer is very similar to some of the Korean brands that I’ve used and the price is very affordable. Since the price is quite affordable, I would definitely recommend it to friends whose concern is to moisturize their skin!

This little tube lasted me about a week of applications. I added just abit into my sunscreen and it absorbed right in! My skin felt awesome since it seemed replenished with moisture. Using our in the morning gives the skin a pick me up. You barely need to use any product so a whole container would last a long time. Worth the price because goes on light and absorbs with ease. Non greasy clear formula goes on without feeling like it is on your face but feeling that it works!

My skin is painfully dry after two days of use...
I used Neutrogena's basic moisturizer for sensitive skin for 20 years, until I entered my 40's and realized I needed something more moisturizing. After using a different one, I've now passed 50 and my skin is wanting even more. Seeing the great reviews for the Hydro Boost Gel, I decided to give it a try. The texture is great and it made my skin feel very soft and smooth....until the second day. It's now so dried out it hurts and looks horrible. I don't understand why this has happened. My low income situation doesn't allow for me to experiment with products, so it's a big disappointment and I don't know where to go from here.

What's great about this cream is that it's formulated with hyaluronic acid which boosts hydration and skin stays hydrated, smooth and supple throughout the whole day. The cream applies effortlessly, absorbing quickly into skin without leaving behind an oily or greasy feel. While it's very light it definitely hydrates the skin all day. The scent is very light - smells fresh. I love this gel cream and will be using this from now on. I have recommended this to all my girlfriends.

I've tried many different lotions for my face in the past both creams and gel and I've come to the conclusion that i am a fan of the gel! In the last year i grew to love a gel cream similar this this one which was probably triple in price and has since been dis-continued and had struggled to find something else so i was ecstatic to find that this product was so similar and a way better value for price. it leaves my dry skin so soft and a wonderful canvas for applying makeup ontop of.

I love all of Neutrogena care products,they stand by their name and I have never used a Neutrogena product yet, that I had a problem with or didn't do what it said.Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream SPF 15 is one of the products I'm talking about.This product is valuable to the skin especially if you have Dry Skin like me.It isn't greasy and it locks in all that moisture to give your skin a Boost that's terribly needed.It is not a expensive product,reasonably priced.The SPF will protect your skin from damaging sun rays with UVA and UVB that will damage your skin which causes hydration to disapate and cause skin to burn.Neutrogena takes care of your skin and protects it.I would recommend this product.

I will definitely buy the full sized product in store, I enjoyed the texture and above all I enjoyed the smoothness of the product, it wasn't oily nor was it fragrant and it also did not leave my face dry after a couple hours, my face felt moisturized throughout the day and there were also no pieces of the moisturizer rubbing off when I touched my face. I used this product after I exfoliated my face and it worked wonders on my skin! Very effective and soothing will definitely buy again! What a great product! So thrilled that ChickAdvisor picked me to test out this product it is truly a nice change for my skin!

1) feels really nice going on - almost a cool, soothing feel
2) sits nicely on my skin and good for applying makeup over top
3) non-greasy formula which is important for me because I tend to get oily in spots
The only drawback is that I didn't feel it was always quite hydrating enough on its own. On a day my skin was feeling particularly dry, I felt the need to apply a cream moisturizer on top of this. But, still a great product that I recommend and can see myself using all summer long (when my skin tends to not be super dry).

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was so excited when this came in the mail for me to try. This product is actually perfect for what my skin needed right now! Its so light weight and not too heavy on the skin but at the same time still so hydrating and the hydration lasts all day long. When applying it, it has this really nice cooling feeling on the skin which is perfect when applying it first thing in the morning to wake up the skin. It melts into the skin so nicely and doesnt leave that tacky feeling. The scent is a nice fresh scent which is perfect for me as I enjoy scented skin care products. I would definitely recommend this moisturizer.

I love this face moisturizer don’t get me wrong but why must we have to put fragrance in it! This is my second time buying it and this time I decided not to get the one for extra skin but after purchasing this it is very strongly scented. It smells great but I can’t use it because my face is too sensitive to it. I’m disappointed in myself that I spent a decent amount of money on this cream that I can use and that my face is burning. I just can’t imagine fragrance is good in any face cream. I think you should make it clearer that this product has fragrance. This was the only option I had so I couldn’t compare to the others.

Reformulation Is Awful
I've been buying this moisturizer for years, but the last jar I'm returning and never repurchasing. Why change the formula that has worked so well for so many people? This new gel cream trash ruined my skin. Isopropyl palmitate is comedogenic. No wonder so many other people who have used the new formula hate it. Thanks for the break outs. Time for a new skin care brand!
