Rachel Smith is the founder and owner of Pride Socks and she's obsessed with socks. The root of this passion stems from her childhood. Growing up, she was one of five siblings, born and raised by Deaf parents. Therefore, job opportunities were limited as was their income. One way her parents dealt with this adversity was to recycle clothing between siblings. Matching and hole less socks became a commodity and her obsession was born.
The challenges her family faced inexplicitly bonded the seven of them, which established her appreciation for diversity in others. Harvesting the natural power people have within themselves, Pride Socks not only is a throw back to the past but a visual reminder of opportunities that wait in the future. At Pride Socks, they believe when people are proud of who they are, where they are and what they do in life, they can and will accomplish their dreams.
