It's okay for starting out

This product has so much fragrance and an interesting black color for no reason. It wasn't as strong as my other products, so it didn't have that wow factor for me or seem to fit in the skincare routine too well. I reach more for my once or twice a week exfoliators more than this one. I personally think the whole charcoal thing might be more of a gimmick than anything else. But hey, skincare is all about finding what works for you, right? It just didn't quite hit the mark for my skin needs. Keep exploring, and I'm sure you'll find something that gives you those amazing results you're looking for! ð«

A Great Serum with Active Ingredients

I received the Garnier SkinActive AHA +BHA with Charcoal Pore-Purifying Serum with 4% Niacinamide AHA BHA (salicylic acid) from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes. After using it every morning and night for two weeks I have noticed a nice clean and soft feel to my skin. It looks black as I apply because of the charcoal ingredient , but it absorbs quickly and it looks clear leaving a nice light feeling to my skin. It's a great serum with active ingredients that I am pleased with.

Great serum
I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes. enjoyed the slightly vicious texture of this black serum, my skin tone & texture improved slightly, and my breakouts improved a bit.
The fragrance of this serum is straight charcoal, from parfum. It fades after a minutes or so.
Alcohol denat is the 2nd ingredient. Along with the fragrance and the dyes, the serum may be irritating or sensitising, especially as it's not a wash off product and instructions are to use it 2x/ day.
I will continue to use it, but more as a treatment.

Concentrated Face Serum that Purifies the Pores
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was super surprised when I received this product, as it contained charcoal that I thought would stain my face. However, the serum gets quickly absorbed into the skin and the charcoal doesn't show on the face. It helped me to eliminate the enlarged pores on my face and it also helped my skin look more matte. Great gentle exfoliator

I have dry skin with some congestion on the t zone.
I use the micellar water to clean my skin deeply . It really removes everything and leave it feeling refreshed. And just after, i apply a few drops of the serum. I like the jelly texture of the cleaning water and the soft feeling of the serum. It smell fresh and clean.
Since my skin is dry, i only use it 3 to 4 times weekly.
It gives just the right amount of exfoliation without stripping my skin and leave it soft. I find my other products absorb better. And it did not irritate.

Unique scent

I like the smell of the serum. It's unique, something earthy, hard to describe... The black color is beautiful. The dropper is easy to use. I apply 3 drops of the serum twice a day after the toner. It helped to unclog my pores. A bit too strong for my U-zone. I'm going to continue using this serum but reduce it to 3 times a week.

I like this serum a lot. It's very absorbent and leaves the skin feeling nice. There's no fragrance. The texture is not watery, but a little sticky. A little goes a long way (if you use too much it is more effort to get it all absorbed and it leaves a white sticky cast while working it in). I found it left a somewhat matte finish. As to whether my pores feel "purified", I'm not sure because I do use it after I cleanse my face. I haven't noticed any new blemishes since using it. So for the past few mornings/evenings, I've been applying this very light, watery consistency serum to my face. Only needing enough to create a thin layer, 3-4 drops was more than enough and my skin absorbed it happily and incredibly fast. To ensure the nutrients sealed in & locked in, I applied moisturizer afterwards and astonishingly, I have already seen some skin improvements. My face has a smoother feel and looks brighter, it’s full of colour and I look radiant! Getting clear skin is possible and I'm definitely going to keep this in my skincare regimen.

It is easy to use and a little goes a long way. the scent is nice, and it blends well without feeling greasy. I am in my late 30's and I am noticing bigger pores I do think that it may be shrinking them they are still noticeable. I do like the difference that I see and maybe if I give it more time, I will see a bigger difference and I would recommend it to a friend.

Very smooth - easily absorbs!

I have been using the AHA+BHA Charcoal Serum for a period of 3 weeks now and I love this serum! The Niacinamide + AHA + BHA are a beautiful nice mixture of ingredients. My skin looks clear, I did notice my pores were less noticeable, giving a beautiful nice even appearance to my skin! I used a full dropper for my face and did bring this down my neck, this did absorb quickly with no stickiness feeling. Very nice to combine the exfoliation and the ingredients to minimize your pores and improve overall skin tone. I am going to continue using this product - I had no reaction and I would recommend trying this serum.

Very good serum for acne prone skin
I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes. My acne prone skin loves Garnier Skin Active AHA + BHA Charcoal Pore-Purifying Serum. Ever since I’ve started using this serum my breakouts have been fewer, my skin is more clear and even toned. The charcoal which gives this serum it’s black colour mattifies skin and completely absorbs into skin without leaving any staining on my fair complexion. Niacinamide, AHA, and BHA (Salicylic Acid) reduces the appearance of pores while fighting acne and improving skin texture. I applied one full dropper of the serum to my cleansed face. I saw improvement in my overall complexion in a few days and within a few weeks my skin feels smoother, my pores look smaller and I have less acne.

This serum works very well with my sensitive, acne-prone skin. Even in the cold winter months, my skin doesn't feel dry or irritated after using it. Another great factor is the charcoal ingredient. I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes. I used this product at night on my nose, above my lip and chin to target the pores in these areas. I was surprised that the serum appeared black-grey on my skin, but disappeared as it absorbed. I think the difference I saw after using this for a few days was subtle. My pores were still visible, but I felt like they looked a little cleaner (less blackheads). Overall I would say this works, but for me it was not a dramatic change.

This serum not only clears up my complexion but also doesn't dry out of irritate me, even during cold winter months. The niacinamide really helps sooth the skin. I have noticed a big difference in my pores!!! Hasn't irritated or made my acne worst. With the aha&bha salicylic acid my skin seems to look better right away. Dramatic results

I work outside and have pretty big pores that are constantly faced with the elements. I used the 4% Niacinamide AHA BHA (salicylic acid) in Garnier SkinActive AHA + BHA with Charoal Pore-Purifying Serum. After using Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Jelly Water before night, I've been using it. I have oily skin that is prone to breakouts, and I discovered that the serum has a water-like viscosity that goes on clear and absorbs rapidly without leaving any residue. It helped my pores and my ance, in my opinion. I thought it was great. I'm grateful to Topbox Circle Canada. #tryitwithtopbox

I really enjoyed using the Garnier Skin Active AHA + BHA Charcoal Pore-Purifying Serum 30ml. I really love the recyclable glass bottle with a dropper perfect for controlling the amount of product you need for your skin. I have been using this in the morning and nights and I have noticed that it has drastically reduced my pores. The product goes on very nicely and absorbs into my skin very quickly and leaves my skin looking bright and feeling moisturized throughout the day.

The Best Serum!!!
The Best Serum!! This gives off a very natural feeling to it. In fact, it’s one of the easier face serums to use I’ve tried. While it’s not very hydrating, it does a good job with fading sun spots and evening out skin tone. Overall, this is a good face serum.

This was different, I have never used anything with charcoal in it before. It states it's best for acne prone skin which I do not have. It did feel nice on my skin and it layered well with my moisturizer. My skin felt nice and bright. It is cruelty free which is also important.
