Rated 1 out of 5 by from What is this I've had my fair share of true Russian buckwheat in my lifetime. This, however... I am truly confused, because the groats look the same as what I'm used to, but this brand just doesn't cook the same. Half of it turns into literal mush after like a minute of simmering, and the other half cooks normal, so you're left with a weird groats in mush puree kind of consistency. This is not it guys

Rated 5 out of 5 by from smells so good when cooking I purchased this product a few weeks ago as my local shop was no longer carrying any Kasha. I love this brand, the smell while it is cooking drives me crazy and I love diving into it when it is done. It is very, very versitle, I have used it as breakfast cereal, my grain for lunches and dinners often serving my veg and protein over it. I even used it recently combined (cooked and cooled)with ground flax and chick pea flour for a crust in a torte. Yum!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Had a funky smell after opening package (not like it went bad, just unexpected), but it subsided quickly and tasted just fine after cooking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really tasty I love these, nice nutty flavour. Don’t boil them, just cover with boiled water and let us sit for ten minutes, it’s perfect every time, they turn soft but not mushy at all. I drink the leftover water as tea, it’s a Japanese drink, really lovely cold or hot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! Will definitely buy again. I love that it's Canadian! This was the best brand and price I could find for buckwheat. I use it to make tea and it's delicious! Will definitely order it again.
