No cooling relief for itchy scalp
In the past I've used the paul mitchell tea tea products whose formulas may not have been stupendous but at least the products provided relief for itchy irritated scalps on account of the tea tree oil and as promoted. This product had no such cooling or invigorating benefit which was quite disappointing as this was the main benefit for which I purchased it. As a basic conditioner it seems OK in that it's sufficiently moisturizing and detangling but I'm not convinced it's doing my scalp any benefit and may even be promoting a less than ideal scalp environment. The pH is unknown to me and if it's higher than 5.5, that's less than ideal. All in all I'd give this product a pass. It contains no known allergy inducing preservatives and lives up to its naturals name but there are likely products out there better suited to their intended purpose. I'm going to try the body shop tea tree line next and imagine I'll have better results. Ingredients like menthol camphor and mint also help to impart a cooling sensation and this conditioner doesn't have those ingredients; only eucalyptus, I think. I didn't notice any additional benefit through that botanical.
