Bright and clean
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I've been using this cleanser for a few days now and really enjoy the bright and refreshing scent and clean feeling after using it! It has a very light texture (admittedly a little thinner and not as foamy as I expected) sub still feels substantial. I prefer rubbing it in with my hands vs the silicone cleansing tool I used with my previous cleanser (a lathering formula). My skin feels very fresh after using it but not dry or tight (which is very common for me using other cleansers). I think it's working very well for my everyday routine and light makeup. I might want to use something a bit tougher or do a first pass with a dedicated makeup remover if I were wearing a full face of makeup.

Love it, keeps skin happy, controls breakouts
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I love this product, it really helps keep my skin and acne under control. One time I left on a week long trip and forgot my cleanser - my skin was nottt happy and I had some breakouts. But as soon as I got back to using it, it started clearing up again. I have pretty sensitive skin otherwise, but this cleanser doesn't irritate my skin at all. When paired with the moisturizer, my skin feels happy and healthy. Occasional breakouts but not nearly as bad as without this in my routine! Love it!!

"Great Product! Texture not ideal. "
"The product is great - I really enjoy using it and it's really effective on my skin for controlling acne. The texture is not idea however. After you pump the product into your hands, it turns to a watery texture very very quickly. If you dont put the product on your face quickly, you are spreading a watery liquid on your face, not a foam. The product burns my lips as well so I need to apply chapstick before washing my face - which Im fine to do because of the effectiveness of the product. A good trade off.

Best Acne Cleanser I have used!
I have spend many, many years searching for the ideal product that would help to keep acne at bay without drying my skin to a desert! (High school was not good for me!) I love this cleanser because it cleans well without stripping but I feel like it has definitely helped keep my acne at bay (and therefore the scars and my habit of picking at them!) under control. I am so thankful for this product and I LOVE that it is Canadian. One note I would say, is I would love if this came in a refill size or a large container

Didn’t work for me :(
I have sensitive combo acne-prone skin. And after my face wash got discontinued, I’ve been on the hunt for a new face wash and haven’t had any luck. Unfortunately pretty much everything breaks me out or gives me a reaction. After reading reviews I decided to give this cleanser a try, and I really wanted to love it. I thought I finally found my holy grail cleanser, but my skin did not agree. Gave it a week. Upon application, I immediately had an itchy/stinging sensation. Skin felt stripped and dry to the point I started breaking out more, even after using moisturizer. I love that this brand is Canadian based and what it stands for, just sad it didn’t work for me. I suggest making it scent/essential oil free as fragrance can cause irritation. Thankfully I was able to get a refund at the bay.

"I bought this for my daughter after seeing it on Instagram. She is 15 with grade II acne and has been using OTC products for a few years with not much change to her skin. I thought I would give this product a try (also because I love papaya). Turns out she thinks it's great and loves the scent. I can report that there has been less inflammation in certain areas of her face. It is too soon to know if this will be long-term as she just started using it a few weeks ago. We are also working on eliminating certain foods from her diet, so a combination approach. My younger daughter (no acne) keeps sneaking the product to clean her T-zone after school (all that mask wearing …) To keep the family peace, I just ordered our second bottle. We seem to be sold on it! Thank you for this great product. "

"Run - don't walk - to buy this product!"
"I own a ton of Three Ships products (I am an OG NIU body customer!), but this one is my favourite. It smells amazing, leaves my skin feeling soft, helps with the oily and acne prone skin but does not leave my skin feeling too dry which is something I haven't found before! My only complaint is that I want to purchase it in a bigger size! Less packaging + less shipping = better for our environment (even though Three Ships is already environmentally-friendly!!).

"Love the ingredients "
"Ok so I am super super picky with my skincare, I worked in skincare at Sephora for a few years and that allowed me to try hundreds of products. Prior to coming across this brand (thank you instagram), I was using another natural-type cleanser which I loved, but I was very intrigued to try Three Ships. I was not disappointed. My skin felt clean and refreshed, but it didn't have that irritating ""pull feeling"". I have only been using for a few days but my skin does seem better. Obviously any dramatic results will take a few months but I have no complaints so far. The ingredients are marvellous and for someone who has old acne scars and marks I can't wait to see what continued use will do for my skin.
- as an aside I would love to see this brand come out with lip balm or more serums for scars etc.

So far so good

I am still noticing that my skin is going through the purging process so I can’t speak to having clearer skin. I’ve been told that switching to an all natural line causes this to happen. I’ll give it another month before I decide on it.

Noticable Results in a Week!

The scent is super refreshing but not overpowering which is important for me with having sensitive skin and migraines that are both sensitive to strong fragrance. My skin had been breaking out due to the summer weather and after using this face wash at night for about a week my skin already looked brighter and more clear. So happy I bought this.

Great light cleanser!

My face does not feel tight after use, and the size makes it great for travel. I would love to have this in a bigger size for home, as the price could be a better value compared to other salicylic acid cleansers on the market.

Didn’t work out for me :(
Really wanted to love this cleanser but unfortunately, my skin hated it. Skin felt stripped and dry after using. Upon application it also stung my skin. Tried it for a week with no improvement. For reference I have sensitive, combo acne prone skin, and this broke me out more. I love that the brand is Canadian based and transparent however. Avoid if you are reactive to coconut derived ingredients and essential oils.

"Love love this cleanser!"
"I've been using this cleanser for about 4 months now, and I love it!
I have hormonal breakouts and irregular skin texture and this cleanser has helped with my skins appearance! It feels clean, it looks much better and healthy, and my complexion looks so much better.
The only reason I don't give this cleanser a five star is because the bottle is so small and doesn't last very long (I use 2-3 pumps, twice a day)."

"I love it so far!"
"I've only used this for a week and a half, but after the first few washes, I noticed my skin was brighter and seemed more evenly toned. All winter I have suffered major maskne breakouts every week, but since I've started to use this cleanser, I've had very few new pimples. "I am a chef and wear a mask for over 12 hours a day. I was having such bad breakouts and after using this my skin has calmed down so much. It feels so nice scrubbing away the dirt and grime of my day. Even leading up to that time of the month my skin hasn't gone hay wall. It smells so good and that the ingredients are natural its not bad for your skin, or for the environment when you wash it off. Love it!!!"

"My Refresh arrived this afternoon, so I haven't had a chance to use it for a period of time yet. But after first use, I'm loving it so far just based off how my skin feels right away. Compared the cleanser I've been using prior, this one feels instantly clean! And sooo refreshed! The smell is a plus too! Love this product so far! "I was initially worried trying out this products because I have dry skin and suffer form hormonal acne but I love Three Ships and the products they produce so I just had to try it. It left my skin feeling very clean with a subtle scent but I also follow with the Purify cleanser to help restorer some lost hydration. I then follow with Calm, Radience, and Glow form Three Ships. Fantastic new cleaner ??"

A tale as old as time; I could never find a cleanser that I couldn't live without. I think this one has changed that!
I have oily/combo/hormonal acne/hyperpigmentation
Within two weeks of consistent use I have noticed that my skin is as smooth as a baby's bottom, hyperpigmentation is lightening and my skin is plump and hydrated. Couldn't be a happier customer! Will for sure purchase again.

Best Cleanser I've ever used

Love this!

Love this cleanser

It doesn’t feel like your washing your face at all because the texture is so light and frothy, unlike some other cleansers that are really heavy almost like a lotion. The smell is amazing too. I have actually had people comment on how great my skin looks when I am using Refresh consistently.

Breaking out

I break out every single time I use it. I did try to use it for a week to see if there was any improvement but there wasn't. Not working for me unfortunately.

"Great cleanse!"
"I've been using this cleanser for a few weeks and have been greatly enjoying it! I do find that the foam doesn't hold up too well once it is pumped, as it turns watery, but I can still apply it with no issues. My skin feels very clean after, while still maintaining my moisture barrier. I've begun to notice improvement in my acne, and really enjoy the scent as well.

I don’t understand
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It’s unsatisfying. As soon as you put the foam on your hands it melts, so you end up massaging liquid on your face. What’s the point of it being a foam cleanser if it dissipates seconds after applying it? You definitely need to double cleanse, otherwise it won’t remove all the makeup. I won’t buy this product again.

A must for my luteal phase!

On recommendation, I tried this cleanser during my luteal phase, and not only has my skin been free of breakouts and redness, but it’s actually GLOWING! This is the only thing I swapped out to try, and I’m really happy with the results!

"Great for oily and acne prone skin"
"I absolutely love this product. my face broke out worse than ever before and then I started using these products and after 3-4 weeks I really noticed a difference in my skin. Softer and my pimples were disappearing. Only downside is the product is rather more of a liquid than foamy so I do go through the product a lot faster which is unfortunate.

Oily completion, a must have.
I ran out of my Refresh cleanser while on a vacation and forced to buy another brand of face wash. A single use and broke out with acne in areas like jaw line and behind ears. Plus, skin looked more oily yet dry. Here’s a tip — always have your Refresh stocked up. Never want to run out again.
I always get asked how my skin looks so great at my age.

Love this face wash

More acne now
I have just started using Three Ships and when I switched to this cleanser I started breaking out more. I thought it was just my skin getting used to the cleanser but it's still happening a month later. I also don't like that it doesn't lather up. It does come out as foam but quickly dissipates. Not sure which cleanser I should try now.
