At Well.ca, we are looking to change the landscape of health and wellness in Canada and we need your help to do it.
We are seeking a hands-on, creative, detail oriented, organized and hardworking Freelance Digital Designer with experience and working knowledge of HTML and CSS. The digital designer will be responsible for delivering on brand, effective and on strategy creative for web, email, social media and digital advertising.
The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about all aspects of design and ongoing evolution. Ideally the candidate would be able to work from our Toronto office up to 20 hours per week.
Technical Requirements:
Strong with HTML5, CSS and Bootstrap
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Understanding of mobile-first design & best practices
Experience in photography and video a plus
Experience with wordpress a plus
What You’ll Do:
Create graphics & layouts for email, including the HTML/CSS coding of email
Create designs for landing pages, product graphics, logos, social media graphics, banner ads, email campaigns, and email templates
Provide design support to other business lines to create product graphics, logos, powerpoint presentations, or other similar offline graphics
Translate wireframes into simple, easy to use User Interfaces
Work with the Lead Designer to translate marketing requirements into compelling, appropriate campaigns and designs
Work within established brand guidelines, standards and timelines to create creative collateral related to digital strategies and tactics
Ensure consistency of brand and creative across all customer touch points
Some of the Stuff You Need to Have:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a web design role
Proven experience designing for web
Have a flexible and open-mind, with a collaborative approach to the design process
Superior communication and organization skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders
Ability to successfully work either independently and cooperatively
Unwaveringly positive “can-do” attitude
