Ah lips, so tender, so vulnerable, cracking under the cold imprint of the wintery elements, imperceptibly burning under the searing rays of the summer sun. What is the ideal remedy for those cracked or chafed lips? Like many others, I have tried countless lip-balms from or in a variety of applicators. In youth, one suffered the humiliation of lip scales and tried to chew away the cratered, sometimes painful evidence. As one ages and, yes, dries up, the need for daily, often hourly, treatment for those 'lips so tender" only increases. Carmex came to my attention at this later stage and with the onset of another winter. I am pleased to say that my lips have finally found the "caring nurse" and help-mate so very long sought. Soothing, non-offensive in taste or smell, indeed quite unassuming yet, in its own fashion, pleasantly, smoothly effective; in short, a quiet gem of a balm. PS. The stick is easy to carry in one's pocket; the jar is a handy accessory on one's desk.
