Non-bleach permanent/over saturated hair dye remover
This product is great. Smell of eggs is because this sulphur-based product breaks down the color molecules in your hair, so don't buy a hydrosulphite product and complain it smells like the chemical it's made from. This is a respectable tradeoff because you don't ruin your hair with bleach to get a worse effect. Also, after it shrinks the dye, you are left with whatever your past products' developer did to your hair, which generally means you are left with a brassy or lighter tone, so get an appropriately toning shampoo per your color wheel requirements to balance this effect.
Not full marks, due to the re-oxidizing darkening hair after I've fallen in love with my new hue.

Kind of a user error
This is mainly a warning not bashing the product. I’ve used color oops for a few years and I love it. It’s gotten dark tones out with little damage, I have very thin fragile hair so that’s saying something. However…I was having anxiety in the store grabbing it today and didn’t read the labels, so, like I said, user error. I grabbed extra strength on accident. When I tell you my hair is FRIED. I left it on maybe 10 minutes before I realized and that was all it took. Please PLEASE be careful and do your research. It is usually a good product depending ON YOUR HAIR TYPE AND WHAT KIND YOU GET.

Reasonably Effective
I bought this product because I wanted to lighten my hair a bit from the dark brown dye I had been using to a medium brown shade. Using Color Oops is quite tedious because you have to rinse your hair for a VERY long time after the processing time. The smell is fairly strong but not terrible. I found it did remove more recently applied hair dye but not dye that was applied months ago. It's also important to note that any hair dye you use after using Color Oops will go on darker than it otherwise would.

Foul stench that lasted for days. Uck!
This product removed some colour but had a nauseating rotten egg odour due to the sulphur content. The 20 minute rinse off time is to dissipate the smell. It took washing my hair three times to get rid of the stench. I had to pour a half cup of beach down my sink drain to get rid of the rotten egg smell.
