A flavoured sucrose base Antibacterial-antifungal lozenge providing temporary relief of sore throat.

Instructions: Adults and children 2 years of age and older: Dissolve one lozenge slowly in the mouth. Repeat every two hours as needed. If sore throat is severe or persists for more than 2 days, consult a physician.

New formulation dissolves too quickly
I have used Dequadin lozenges for years and I am VERY familiar with how the product feels and works. Now, for some odd reason, they have changed the formulation or changed the manufacturer. The product is not as dense and dissolves like a sugar candy - too quickly. I used to be able to suck on one lozenge for 20-30 minutes to help soothe my throat. Now, within 2 minutes it is gone. The medication is supposed to me in your throat and not in your stomach. Please change back to the original formula now!

Used to be the best for sore throat.
I have used Dequadin for decades and they are excellent to sooth a sore throat. The last two packages I ordered though were quite chalky and didn't last as long while sucking on them. Perhaps the formula was changed? I will try again to see if they are like the original. If not I will not be buying them again.

Nice flavour and works well.
Dequadin have been my "go to" throat lozenges forever. They dissolve well and help when my throat is scratchy or sore. They are meant to dissolve slowly - not chewed and I take them at least a half hour before food or liquid for their best result.

These (both flavours, orange and cherry) are the only lozenges that have ever helped me clear up a sore throat. More like a dry tablet than a traditional sticky lozenge, but they work brilliantly. Highly recommended.
