Detoxification Pack contains ingredients carefully selected to help support function of the liver, the main organ involved in the body's detoxification process. This pack contains amino acids, vitamins, minerals and herbs as part of a 15-day detoxification regimen.
The liver is responsible for removing all potentially detrimental molecules such as alcohol, drugs and air pollutants from the bloodstream. Milk thistle is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as a liver protectant and is rich in flavonoids known collectively as silymarin. Silymarin supports liver function by inhibiting unwanted toxins from entering the cell, reducing free radical damage, and supporting healthy levels of glutathione and superoxide dismutase, two primary substances with antioxidant activity in the liver. Milk thistle is also used in Herbal Medicine to help relieve digestive disturbances.
Additional herbs offer important phytochemicals that support biological properties. Sulforaphane is derived from broccoli sprout, while wasabi contains isothiocyanates. Artichoke is rich in caffeoylquinic acids, e.g. cynarin, and flavonoids, while curcumin contains antioxidant properties.
