Douglas Laboratories O.S.T.S. Formula contains the base formula of Douglas Laboratories’ Ultra Specific Series, which offers intensive support for the maintenance of good health. In addition, it contains vitamins and minerals specifically formulated to maintain bone health.

Bone is constantly turning over in a continuous process of formation and resorption. In children and adolescents, the rate of bone formation predominates over the rate of resorption; in later life, resorption predominates over formation. Therefore, there is a gradual loss of bone in normal aging.

O.S.T.S. Formula provides calcium citrate, a beneficial source of dietary calcium that is highly absorbed and well tolerated. It provides other nutrients that assist in the maintenance of healthy bone structure and function, such as vitamins A, C, D and K, as well as magnesium and manganese. O.S.T.S. Formula also provides herbs used in traditional medicine, such as dong quai and black cohosh, plus bioflavonoids and hesperidin. O.S.T.S. Formula does not give rise to intestinal gas production, bloating or constipation that is often experienced with other calcium preparations.
