Douglas Laboratories Ultra Joint Forte is a synergistic combination of glucosamine, chondroitin, methysulfonylmethane (MSM) and astaxanthin that helps maintain joint health.

Glucosamine HCl is a well-absorbed source of glucosamine, an important precursor for the synthesis and maintenance of healthy cartilage. As a result, supplementation with glucosamine HCl helps to maintain healthy cartilage and joints.

Chondroitin sulfate also helps protect existing cartilage by reducing water loss from the matrix and inhibiting its enzymatic breakdown. Studies have shown that chondroitin sulfate helps to relieve joint pain associated with osteoarthritis.

MSM is a naturally occurring compound of biologically available sulfur, an indispensable element required for the structural integrity and function of almost every protein in the body. Dietary MSM therefore serves as a versatile donor of metabolically active sulfur for the synthesis of numerous organosulfur compounds and proteins.

Approximately 99% of calcium and 85% of phosphorus in the body are present in bone. These minerals combine to form hydroxyapatite, which helps to maintain the rigid structure of bone.
