THIS SHAMPOO IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER USED IN ALMOST FOUR DECADES ON THIS PLANET!
I hate it. I hate it. I hate it.
You can't even get clean looking hair immediately after washing it. And no way you can go more than a day.
I don't generally feel compelled to write reviews but this is THE WORST. The conditioner sucks, too!

Love the non-toxic ingredients, the pump packaging, and the value (the bottle is huge -
almost a litre!). But the smell of this shampoo is very weird. Not like coconut... more like smokey caramel? Luckily it doesn't linger. I find I do need a conditioner after this shampoo like with most "natural" shampoos that don't contain coating agents, but I don't find it to be overly drying.

I've only used this shampoo twice so far, so I don't know what the long term effect is. People say the smell puts them off, I can understand why, but it really isn't strong at all. If I smell it from the right angle it reminds me of popcorn. It doesn't make your hair smell like anything though. It doesn't leave a residue in my hair (it's mid way down my back in length) as long as I rinse it well. It leaves my hair squeaky clean. The bottle is thick and hefty so I plan on reusing it when it's empty. Definitely worth it, if you're sitting on the fence, go for it.

I'm sorry for adding a negative review but this shampoo was the worst shampoo for my hair I have ever used. My hair is died but not badly chemically treated and when I used this shampoo, my hair felt hard, like it was washed with glue and it was impossible to comb my hair after. The smell was also unpleasant, almost rancid. Maybe it is only me but I would never use it again.

So wanted to love this shampoo because it has so many good things going for it - fair trade, 100% natural, vegan, cruelty free, paraben and sulfate free, BPA free packaging, etc. Those should all make for a great product, but unfortunately they don't. It leaves my shoulder length hair feeling stripped of moisture, especially notable when rinsing. Almost feels like I used a bar of cheap soap rather than shampoo. Hair was hard to brush/comb through when wet. My husband has wavy coarse hair and said this shampoo felt like his hair had the moisture washed out of it. So disappointed, and will not be buying again.
