Genestra HMF Replete Probiotic Formula

HMF^® Replete contains five strains of proprietary human probiotics that promote normal intestinal microbiota following antibiotic therapy and decrease IBS symptoms in adults. Antibiotics alter intestinal microflora and can result in the proliferation of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.¹ HMF^® Replete promotes normal intestinal microbiota following antibiotic therapy by further decreasing the pH and increasing mucin release to reduce pathogenic adherence to cells. Dysregulation of the intestinal microbiota has been identified as a significant contributing factor to the development of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) which affects nearly 5 million Canadians.^1,2 This leads to malabsorption of bile acids –“ which aid in fat digestion –“ and in turn, increases fluid and mucus secretion into the colon for bile acid dilution.¹ As Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria help reabsorb bile acids, less water enters the colon, decreasing diarrheal occurrence.¹ In addition to this research-driven probiotic blend, HMF^® Replete also provides fructooligosaccharides (FOS) from Chicorium intybus root, a prebiotic fibre to support the growth of beneficial bacteria in the intestines. HMF^® Replete is offered in a great-tasting apricot-flavoured powder which is ideal for those who dislike or have trouble swallowing capsules.

Recommended Dosage: Adults: In a glass, add 250 mL of water to 1 sachet of HMF Æ Replete and mix. Take once daily or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. Take at least 2 to 3 hours before or after taking antibiotics. Take 2 hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products since the absorption of these products may be delayed.

Caution: Do not use this product if you have an immune-compromised condition. Consult your healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have diabetes, fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhea or severe abdominal pain. Stop use and consult your healthcare practitioner if symptoms of digestive upset occur, worsen or persist beyond 3 days. Stop use if allergy occurs. May cause mild gastro-intestinal discomfort.
