Kidney Complex was specifically formulated with herbs, such as cranberry and uva-ursi, used in Herbal Medicine to help prevent and relieve symptoms associated with minor UTIs.
Recommended Dosage: Take four capsules two times daily, a few hours before or after taking any medication or natural health product, or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. Take with food to minimize gastric disturbance. Do not take with highly acidic foods or medications which may acidify urine. For occasional use only. Consult your healthcare practitioner for use beyond one week.
If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a health care practitioner. If you have a liver disorder, fever, painful urination (dysuria), spasms, or blood in urine, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking blood thinners. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a history of kidney stones, if you have gastrointestinal tract disorder or have symptoms of intestinal spasms. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use to exclude a diagnosis of prostate cancer. High dosages of berberine can depress respiration, stimulate intestinal smooth muscle and reduce bronchial constriction. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if the following symptoms occur: nausea, vomiting, drop in blood pressure and/or difficulty breathing. Do not exceed recommended dose. If you are taking an anticoagulant medication, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. If you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes or edema (swelling of hands, face and feet) or are taking products containing diuretics, do not use. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing. Contra-Indications: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use this product. Do not use if you have a gall bladder disorder.
