Genestra Multi + Pro M is a multivitamin formula specifically tailored for men, and is a source of probiotic microorganisms that help support gastrointestinal health. Vitamin D helps absorb and use calcium and phosphorus for normal bone mineralization, and research demonstrates that daily supplementation with 600 IU of vitamin D helps maximize bone health in adults.  B vitamins help mediate hundreds of enzymatic reactions, including the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins.  Chromium supports glucose metabolism by mediating the actions of insulin, which include regulating glucose uptake in cells and promoting its storage as glycogen.  Beta-carotene is a provitamin A carotenoid pigment.  As it can be converted into vitamin A in the body, it is an important source of vitamin A to help maintain eyesight, skin, membranes and immune function.  Zinc further contributes to immune health as the only naturally occurring lymphocyte mitogen, stimulating cell division in lymphocytes and increasing their ability to ingest and destroy pathogens.  Low levels of zinc lead to decreased immune cell number and function, including reduced synthesis of cytokines that function against intracellular bacteria.  As a necessary component of hemoglobin, iron is important for the normal production and activity of red blood cells.
